What a sweet and authentic oregon homestead, complete with old heritage fruit trees, a pond with singing frogs, chickens and lovely hosts! I will stay here again when in the area.
Fantastic spot to camp! Super pretty landscape and very friendly hosts!
I cannot recommend this stay enough. We escaped the smoke of Southern OR, and had a wonderful weekend on the farm. We had the creek side spot, with a fire ring and a table making accommodations very comfortable.
The view from our spot gave us a vista, nearly out to the ocean. We could see the marine layer in the morning and sunsets were spectacular!
Strolling the farm and visiting with the very social free range turkey, the sheep and chickens was fun and added to the weekend. So much history. Signposts everywhere and tags on trees told the story of them and now. The outdoor galley kitchen made meal cleanup a snap.
All the staff we spoke with were helpful and willing to share the stories of this historic farm. So lucky to have found it and had the opportunity to stay. We came home with a dozen fresh eggs and a bag of straight from the tree, apples.

We had such a fantastic time camping at GeerCrest Farm! Our campsite was plenty big and fit both of our group’s tents just fine with lots of room to spare. The site was private and comfortable with all the amenities you could ask for, as well as a well built fire pit. Staff was super friendly and helpful, and we had a lot of fun exploring the beautiful grounds of the farm. A perfect spot for a romantic getaway, or fun times with friends around the fire. Thanks again for having us, we’ll be back soon!
Well there are many great things about this little farm and a few that aren’t so great.
Positives:
It was very peaceful and quiet. Our kids loved hanging out with the sheep, goats and chickens. We also loved the rope swing and the treehouse. The composting bathroom was very clean. Our hostess was lovely.
Negatives:
The biggest disappointment was the copious piles of dog poop that line both sides of the road. It’s gross and stinky.
Also, it wasn’t clear to us that there were two campsites. One is the treehouse and the other is the Creekside Bliss where we stayed. Actually, there seems to be a third campsite which was just people parking on the grass. It was a large group and we were concerned but luckily they were very quiet people. The creek is a tiny trickle and you wouldn’t know it was there unless you were looking for it. I realize there is a drought but we were expecting a creek since the campsite was called Creekside Bliss.

Thank you for your review regarding your visit this past summer. Feedback like yours is valuable to us as we continue to improve our visitor experience. Our sincere apologies for the cleanliness of the lawn negatively impacting your visit. A high standard of farm hygiene and organization is a priority to us and the dog doo was a short-lived issue. We do not perceive that to ever be an problem in the future. Regarding our campsites: This past year, we experimented with adding a a third campsite aside from Creek Side Bliss and Alder Meadow. It was those busy times this summer (like while you were visiting) that showed us that we need to stick to just the two spots. We would like to bolster our "peaceful and quiet" style here on the farm, even at the height of camping season, moving forward. Additionally, we can see how our website may be misleading to our campers who aren't in the valley with treehouse. We plan to revamp some of our listings this winter - including photos - to clarify our offerings. You are very right about the creek - we have a creek in full force for most of the year. That being said, by August, it's barely babbling. We are considering changing the name for the "Creek Side Bliss" site. We do not want it to be misleading to our campers! Lastly, we are so happy to hear that your kids enjoyed their time on the farm and that you found it to be a peaceful experience! Again, thank you for your feedback.
Really lovely property with a lot of animals to see and everything we needed to camp. My daughter loved the whole experience.
Lovely and historic Oregon farm nestled near Silverton...a bit of traffic so bring your ear plugs... simplistic solitude

Thank you for your feedback Kevin. As a light sleeper personally, I understand your concern about traffic. Generally, the folks that visit us are attracted to a quiet farm life camping experience. That being said, at the height of camping season when the days are long, there might be a little more sound on the farm. Moving forward, it will help that we have cut down our upper campsites from three to two, and so, any driveway traffic will be reduced moving forward. As far as road traffic: For the most part, Sunnyview Road in our neck of farmland is a light to moderately traversed road. There is seldom more than one vehicle that drives by at a time, although some workweek mornings, there may be a little extra traffic. We are glad you were able to find solitude on our farm during your stay Kevin. We hope this information may be helpful for anyone having similar concerns!
The farm is well off the beaten track but beautiful land. The history is interesting and our boys really enjoyed meeting the sheep!
Hosts were welcoming and kind :) treehouse definitely lookslike ghe way to go, although closer to road it is themost private. Other campsites are closer together. Pine shaving outhouse clean and nice alternative to portapotty plus less smelly. Potable water and outdoor kitchen not far either . Overall a nice stay and good value 😌

Hi Luna! Thank you for your kind words and helpful feedback. We had tried opening up an additional campsite in our upper camping area this past year. But due to feedback like yours, we have decided to reduce the campsites from three, back to two. We value a peaceful and even magical farm life camping retreat and will continue to improve in providing our visitors that experience.
