Now with WiFi! Bring your small RV, van, or camper (sorry, no tents, only self-contained camping meaning you must have a toilet). Cleared lot surrounded by trees and vegetation on 3 sides, 2 minute walk down a grassy path flanked by rhododendron and blackberries to miles of ocean with tide pools to explore 1.5 miles south and open sandy beach to the north including Tillicum State Park. There are multiple beach access points available and the crossing to the beach is a flat portion of Highway 101 with high visibility in both directions. If you head east from the lot up the gravel road, you will come to an Oregon family farm with wooded trails to explore by foot. We are just north of Yachats city center, and south of Waldport.

This was a great stop for us—arriving near dusk and leaving immediately in the morning. We had time before sunset for a quick walk across 101 to see the beach. No services and you might be bothered by traffic, tho I was not.

This is a great place just a short walk to the beach. You need across the 101, but that was not really an obstacle for me. Jennifer is a delightful hostess, very kind and a great communicator. The site is a cozy green undeveloped lot in a little neighborhood. I parked my rig at a little angle to give a little privacy from the road.

Amazing location! Site is as described, simple with plenty of space for our 19ft trailer. There is some road noise but didn’t bother us.
Beach access is across the 101 so be aware of crossing with fast traffic, if you’re coming with young kids
The beach is spectacular and this spot is a gem for this reason. We also loved the lack of phone signal and lack of other camping neighbours

Everything was as expected. Clean site, with good privacy. Easy access to beach (while you cross Hwy101, it is a straight stretch with good visibility). Beach was clean and not crowded. It was the perfect spot to enjoy some time at the coast.

the best part was being right by the beach. though that meant being by road noise. the site was level with bumps so you may need chocks. If you are n't self sufficient you won't last long. No ATT wireless signal but free wifi outside the county offices in town. big enough for our 2 vans and could have taken in 2 more!

Quiet, comfortable spot with easy access to an amazing beach (where I spent the evening playing Frisbee with my son).

Perfect simple spot to set up our camper and take a sweet weekend at the coast. A short walk to a magical beach void of any bustle whatsoever makes this an incredible find for camping.

This is a great little spot. It's very basic, but it is a great central location right off the highway. It worked as a great homebase to explore the surrounding area. Beach access is very easy and the spot is very private and clean. Definetly beats a campground. We loved it.

Sunset at the beach across the road Great little private spot
