Freya's Gypsy Caravan is located in a well landscaped private corner of my large third acre city lot. It has it's own path through the trees from the road to the Caravan. Because of the lush plantings it is mostly hidden from the rest of the property and has it's own yard.
The Caravan is an authentic model of an English bow-ledged caravan and was a traveling home and stage when I traveled as storyteller/artist/environmental educator for 15 years.
The Caravan itself has a double bed, desk/counter, two cushioned bench seats and a small sink with hot & cold water. It has electricity, heat and Wifi.
There is a covered porch that has an outdoor kitchen with small fridge, hot plate , toaster oven and grill. At the end of the porch is a small bath house with an modern composting toilet, sink with hot & cold water as well. Just outside, the bath house is a private outdoor shower. Robes are provided.
The Caravan sits nestled in a private back corner and has a small orchard, clumps of bamboo plus lots of native hedges.
There are tables and lawn chairs to hang out in and a small fire pit, with wood for an evenings campfire.
Tea, coffee, cream are provided and there is fruit, yogurt and granola to get you started your first morning.

Hands down favorite hip camp We have had the opportunity staying at. The atmosphere could only be described as Magical! Not to mention the loving company of Prince Django the sweetest outdoor cat I’ve ever known! Also the outdoor shower set up is phenomenal plenty of hot water with a private environment!

This was a nice, quiet, private backyard vibe with cozy and comfortable accommodations. The caravan was warm and inviting on a moderate September evening. The outside shower with hot water was invigorating in the cool of morning. I loved my stay.
So peaceful. Just what I needed. The caravan was so beautiful & comfy. The outdoor shower was very pretty. I would love to have one at my house! The outdoor kitchen was super helpful. There was tea & coffee and a kettle. The fridge had yogurt & there were bananas. And everyday I got a visit from Prince Django (the sweetest kitty). What a relaxing stay. I can’t wait to come back!
This was the most charming little spot. Immensely private and quiet but only a 5 minute drive to town. The grove of trees and bamboo leads you to the darling caravan and numerous outdoor seating areas. The outdoor shower was refreshing, the little bathroom clean and well appointed. We did not cook food, but made coffee in the morning with the beans and half and half generously supplied by the host. The bed was comfy inside and although it was a chilly night, we stayed very warm under the covers. The inside and outside of the caravan are even prettier in person with hand painted little scenes adorning it. Django the cat was such a dear and provided some wonderful pet therapy on our laps while we sat outside with some wine. One of the most unique hipcamp/airbnb experiences I have had and would recommend it again.
Was looking up places to stay on the coast for my birthday when I stumbled across the listing for Freya's Gypsy Caravan and couldn't resist booking it for two nights.
I found Freya's place to be enchanting.
There is a long winding path (lit up at night) thatto leads to the large, private yard with fire pit, picnic table, gas grill and shady spots even on the hottest of days.
The caravan is beautiful inside and out and very comfortable and cozy with coffee (fresh beans and a french press) and tea provided.
Found the outdoor kitchen well equipped with a hot plate, toaster over, toaster and pots and pans dishes and utensils and the like.
Enjoyed the fire pit at night.
Loved the enclosed outdoor shower!
Traveling alone, I enjoyed visits from butterflies, hummingbirds, blue jays and Prince Django, the tuxedoed cat from next door (instructions for the place include info on how to discourage the cat(s) if you happen to be a non-cat type of person). Sadly, I did not get a visit from Cleo the Calico.
Tucked into a quiet residential neighborhood within fairly close distance of several parks along the Willamette River and less than a mile to Safeway, stores and restaurants.
Lots of hiking and things to do in the area and not too far from the coast even for a day trip.
Highly recommend staying there.

Calm, peaceful, and private. The weather was great so we left most of our stuff outside. Loved staying here. My husband and I spent one night here and not much time on site. We were at a wedding all evening left early the next morning. Loved giving attention to the kitty who greeted us and asked for pets.

This is a little piece of magical respite. The place is beautiful and relaxed and very comfortable. Everything was clean, the bed comfortable and we felt welcome. We loved our getaway and would come again! Thank you!
Super awesome stay! we stayed a night for our partners birthday and we had an amazing time. Its surprisingly quiet for its location and Prince Django was such a sweetie. Thank you Freya for everything!
