This is a three acre park located adjacent to the Hauer of the Dauen Vineyard, in the heart of the Willamette Valley. Farms, nurseries and vineyards are abundant in this region which make for spectacular views during long bike rides or a relaxing afternoon of wine tasting. The 80 acres of grapes, adjacent to the park, is a working vineyard and it can be a rather moving experience to watch the sunrise over the rows of 35 year-old vines in the morning, as you hear the native birds and other wildlife begin to chirp and rustle about.

If you stayed here and have some insider info for us, let us know!
We had a wonderful stay with peace and quiet, star filled sky, and walks through the vineyard. The hosts were very friendly and treated us to a wonderful bottle of their Gamay Noir. We would stay here again!
We really enjoyed the wide open space and proximity to wine country. The only downside was the neighboring vineyard employs a couple of speakers which blare some horrible sounds of screeching birds, my guess in a way to keep other birds from eating the grapes. The blaring sounds began around 6:30 am and went until about 8:00 pm. Really put a damper on an otherwise terrific location and experience.
This was a very pleasant stay in a lush grass field by vineyards in Oregon’s wine country near McMinneville. Kari and Paul were very accommodating. We had additional families join our plan last minute and it couldn’t have been better! Great sunset. Clean portapotty. Plenty of space.
Great field for bare feet!
Great spot! We stayed on the Dauenhauer Family campground for one night on a very hot Aug evening. The field (it’s basically a huge grass field) was very maintained and spacious. When we arrived another large party had already taken the shady tree spot in the field. We found the next spot that would get shade as the sun came down. But on a hot 90+ degree day it can get very hot. We were not prepared with a shade cover but fortunately the host let us use their hose to fill a solar shower we brought. This definitely helped with beating the heat. The field was also so huge we could be in our own little section and feel very apart from the 2 other groups that were also camping that night. We could see the other groups, but not really “see” them. There was a huge bachelorette party that I thought for sure would be loud all night. To my surprise we could barely hear anything from them cause they were pretty far way. We know they were partying all night cause we could see their lights running across the field all night to the port a potty. Which the potty was super clean and well located for all to access. We were able to get to the tasting room before they closed to get a quick complement tasting. I’d definitely choose to stay here again. It was super close to many great wineries and felt very safe and secure.
Great weekend ernight from portland
This is a great place for a quick overnight from Portland, only about an hour's drive out.
The campsites themselves are flat and grassy, ringing a large, soft green field. At the edge of the field is a real, working vineyard. It's very pretty and breezy. The enclosing area has farms, nurseries, and is scenic.
Our host greeted us in the evening and was very welcoming and pleasant to chat with. A tasting was available the next day so we stopped by. The wines were excellent, creative, and affordably priced, so we couldn't resist grabbing a few bottles.
Great trip for anyone just wanting to relax and take in the views.
Perfect family campground
Thank you, Kari! Your campground was perfect for us! The location and surroundings were absolutely beautiful and peaceful! We hope to come back soon, thanks again!
