Description

Where Catherine Creek’s 20 primitive sites now stand, native populations once harvested steelhead and huckleberries. With the peaks of the Wallowa Mountains piercing the desert sky, camping on this culturally and ecologically rich land is humbling. You can expect a lower-key camping experience with simple amenities, such as nearby water, restrooms with flush toilets, horseshoe pits and a half mile hiking trail to the translucent waters of the creek.
