Welcome! Our large mixed forest provides an abundant of sites to choose from overlooking the wetlands, the fields, the black forest and the valley. Sites will comprise of a minimum 5 acres to ensure peace and privacy. The Double J Ranch is an agrarian cooperative in balance with nature, animal rearing, bee keeping, gardening and forest goods all being produced by its caretakers John & Victoria. 10 minutes (drive) to the St. Lawrence River with ample swimming, fishing and boating activities in the historic fort town of Prescott. Many walking, biking trails and things to do or sit back by the campfire and enjoy the sounds of nature. Fancy getting dirty in the garden? Ever seen chicken TV? Numerous activities to do or not do, completely up to you. We keep our forest wild, free and clean and we appreciate you doing the same. NOTICE-WE ARE NOT A NOVICE CAMPING SPOT. We will assist in transporting your items to your camping spot and provide water to put out your fires safely, however, we are unable to assist you in setting up your tent, air mattress, fire, etc... There is no water or electrical outlets near camping spots so if you do bring an air mattress please bring a power source to pump it up. We have a foot pump available if needed. You will be 1 kilometer back into the bush so you can have the most off the grid experience. There is water and electrical outlets available near the main homestead for your convenience. We have a full time ranch and farm with two large gardens that keep us EXTREMELY busy. If you would care to learn more about camping we offer courses with experienced campers. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation. See you soon!

Very welcoming and accommodating hosts. Secluded tenting spot surrounded by trees. Delicious farm-fresh eggs, firewood ready upon arrival and a s'mores kit for our kids. Approximately 1.3km long trail from parking to camp site; Suitable for biking/walking/ATV. Lots of room for multiple or large tents; trees nearby for hammocks. We had a wonderful time and would camp here again.

It was an experience to remember. The camp is conviently close to Highway 401 and generally quiet and secure. John and Victoria welcomed us and made us feel like friends. The camp site we selected was a bit rougher than we expected but we hung in there as we wanted to interact with Nature especially after being locked in for months. The site was an open area surrounded by trees with a spot for a camp fire and even a spot for a latrine au naturelle. I would recommend this site for nature lovers and for someone who wants to turn off from the urban life for a while. We want to thank John and Victoria for this kind hospitality.

It's hard to see someone living your dream life, but it's amazing when the experience gets shared. Thank you so much for letting me stay on your land and for being the perfectly polite host.

Ps. Thanks for finding me when I got lost in your woods! Ahaha!

It was amazing staying at John and Victoria’s property! They were so hospitable. friendly, cool and went above and beyond to make us feel comfortable. They chickens were a lot of fun to visit and the property is gorgeous. There are awesome views, great walking paths, fields to play games in and the camp site was so cozy and atmosphere rad. Honestly we can’t wait to come back. Highly recommend
