Perfect for all campers from tents to RVs. Please note, there is no toilet so bring your own! Campfires permitted (within local regulations), Wifi available. Pets on leash welcome!
Washago is a quaint village with groceries, hardware, restaurants, and a historic Grist Mill. The Trent Waterway can be accessed from Centennial Park. The beautiful Green River can be accessed from the Post Office or via the Black River.

The River's Run property is positioned on a very quiet bend of the Black River - a perfect spot to launch a kayak or canoe.
Our friendly, knowledgable host was available when needed to make sure that our weekend away was enjoyable without leaving our group feeling like we were unwelcome or intruding on the property.
Already planning to return next season.
Lovely location right on the river with full access using the stairs to the dock and rock outcropping for our kayaks. Christine guided us on a scenic tour of the Black River which has some areas of medium river current. Water is great for swimming. We saw bass and sunfish right at the dock. Chistine is very welcoming and hospitable. In the area, we saw chipmunks, squirrels, beaver, river otter, deer, and a fairly rare sighting of a black bear across the river. We appreciated the 30 amp hydro and garden hose water hookup for a shower. It is a quiet area with just the sounds of nature and the occasional distant train. We had a very relaxing weekend and visited a local restaurant and farmers market in Washago. You should explore this paradise on the river!
