Welcome to our Wooded Area with Pond Nearby!
We are happy to share our 137 acres of land with you. Mike and I are experienced campers ourselves and avid nature lovers. We welcome like-minded campers. We don't mind hosting new campers, but we ask that you come with basic camping knowledge prior to booking one of our sites. Campers should know how to set up a tent and start a fire safely. Please read below on fire safety.
Choosing the right site for your group:
Please read over the site descriptions below to ensure you have an enjoyable camping experience.
CHECKING IN:
Campers are encouraged to pack efficiently (see our list of camping essentials) seeing as our sites are located deep in the woods, with no direct car access. Campers will be shuttled out by one or both of us, in our "side by side" & ATV. The hike out (if walking) is about a 8-10 mins walk. We have a groomed and marked trail leading to all sites!
***NO CHECK IN'S AFTER DARK ***
CHECKING OUT
Campers are encouraged to hike out using the marked trail. Transportation can be provided if needed.
LEAVE NO TRACE
Campers are asked to take ALL their garbage home. Campers who leave trash behind will be charged a disposal fee.
OUTHOUSE AND OUTDOOR SHOWER
***NEW June 2022***
We have a rustic outhouse with a composting toilet, and outdoor shower for campers to use. The toilet is a simple wood shaving system. The shower is a bladder filled camping shower bag, with a gravity fed shower head. Water is solar heated naturally while hanging on the side of the shower wall. This unique little building is located in the woods, near the campsites.
If you prefer a warm shower, we suggest bringing a large pot to heat the water first.
10 CAMPING ESSENTIALS FOR A GREAT EXPERIENCE:
1) matches and/or a lighter
2) newspaper
3) a leak proof tent, warm sleeping bag & pillow
4) 1-2 tarps
5) a cooking grill
6) garbage & recycling bags
7) reusable items to reduce waste (remember, you have to haul it out when you leave!)
8) Consider bringing a wagon to easily transport your items back to your car on checkout
9) Coming with a pet? Bring doggie poop bags to clean up after them
10) During the warmer months, we recommend bringing bug spray to ensure an enjoyable and relatively "bug-free" experience.

Perfect father/son/dog overnight!
This site was lovely! Annie and Mike have a beautiful property and their love and pride for it shows! We checked out the two available sites and they were both clean and well maintained. We chose the site just by the pond and it was perfect. The breeze kept the bugs away and the site had a great mix of sun and shade.
My 6y/o loved the drive out to the sites in the UTV. The walk back, not so much! Its only about a km along the trail but keep that in mind while packing. My equipment is mostly for car camping so lugging some of it by myself out of the bush was alot.
If you're looking for something close to home then definitely check out 137 acres, you won't regret it!

Mike and Annie were great hosts! The property is beautiful, the site was excellent and private. They took the time to show us around the property, helped us to our site with our gear, and they were quick to make sure we had everything our group needed for a killer camping weekend.
I would definitely come camp here again, and I'm interested in seeing what the property is like during winter, since they have a sugar Shack/maple farm.
First experience with hipcamp, and it didn't disappoint one bit. Mike and Annie were also super chill people and it was great to chat about their business, camping, etc.

Great welcoming by the host
The best of best is that they carry our stuff to the camping site and back
Really nice quiet place
Annie and Mike were phenomenal hosts to my son and I. We wanted a backcountry camping experience that was not too far from our home and this checked all the boxes. The sites are well kept and you can see that the hosts have a real respect for their land and the nature within in.

Very secluded spot which I was looking for. Trails well groomed. Annie and Mike were quick to respond to messages. Definitely would recommend.
Great experience, they told us alot about the land , taught us how to harvest wild leeches of garlic and droped and picked us from the campsite .

Annie & Mike were so friendly as always, you can't go wrong camping here! We will be using this site for years to come.
Honestly speaking, I would like to hide this place for my winter camping.
This is "the best place" to enjoy camping in the wildness.
It is a secluded area and totally tranquil camping site for me.
You can not hear any ambient sounds from highway and city.
Mike is very kind and a great host. You can get a ride via ATV with your camping gear to your campsite if it is needed.
I will definitely be recommending this site and I will be returning for sure.

Thank you so much for your review Shivam! Just to clarify and correct for anyone reading this review 😂, we did not pick leeches! We picked wild leeks, also known as Ramps.
