Our Shepherd's Hut is located on the Stirling Hobby farm on the edge of the Shelter Valley creek. The accommodation is furnished with a Queen bed and fresh linens, a table with two chairs, dishes and beach towels. The camp site comes with a fire pit and picnic table. You will find yourself in a private setting surrounded by nature and will wake up to the sound of the creek and the song of the birds. Feel free to bring a BBQ and bikes. The only thing is we kindly request that you do not bring your pets.
Come stay the night and enjoy the company of our little farm animals (sheep, goats, cows and a pig), paddle in the creek and relax in a hammock. A private yoga class and/or reiki treatment can be offered upon request from your host at an extra cost.
We are situated on the Shelter Valley cycling route and nearby interest points include Ste. Anne's Spa, the Big Apple, Wicklow beach and Cobourg beach on lake Ontario. Amazing & make sure to book yoga!
What a lovely stay! The cabin was so cute and the bed very comfy, the river stream was lovely to listen to, the animals were so amazing especially the star of the field - Belly (the cutest pig). We also booked a yoga session with Nicole and would HIGHLY reccomend it! She did an excellent job and even added some tandem poses (we asked for it) and the lesson was outdoors right near the river steam in a very lovely setting. Bill was also lovely at greeting us and showing us to our cabin.
Had a lovely stay here! The animals were curious and friendly. Even though it rained, we had a very comfortable sleep - the bed was so lush and the windows kept us quite comfy. I definitely overpacked because the host, Nicole had all the plates, cups, cutlery etc. needed for 2, even a lighter and lysol wipes set out for us. So thoughtful! I love that all the lighting was solar! We hope to return!
