Learn more about this land: Rustic bunkie located on 2 acres, is nestled among the trees beside a small, crystal clear lake. With 700 ft of untouched shoreline, privacy is second to none. From this lake, you can access 3 other lakes by provided canoe/kayak without portage. PLEASE NOTE: The bunkie is for 3 guests only. However, there is room to pitch a tent outside of the bunkie (please select additional guests if you are planning on using both accommodations). The site is 35 min. from Algonquin Park and 11 km from MKC, the world-famous white water paddling centre. 10x10 main floor with sleeping loft. Solar power provides lighting & a propane furnace for cool nights. Solar lights outside provide ambient lighting-may be turned off if preferred. The call of the loons & the barred owl will be your lullaby as you drift off to sleep after a day of hiking, paddling, or swimming.  There is no running water, you will have to bring your own drinking water. You will need to bring everything you require for cooking, eating and washing dishes. There is no sink, stove, or BBQ on site. As the site is off-grid, there are no appliances. There is a split log bench beside the self-contained fire pit.  Please bring your own firewood, matches/lighter,  and/or firestarter materials. Small fires only please, as this is a well-treed location. Fires must be extinguished prior to going to bed — there is a bucket by the firepit. If you are wondering if something is there, I suggest you reach out to check with me before arrival. There is a new private outhouse on site. The outhouse is past the bunkie along the path. Solar lights work with the flick of a switch — one switch by the door, one by the bed. You have access to 2 kayaks and 1 canoe, 2 adult lifejackets. These are located on the waterfront between the bunkie and the house @260 Matcheski Road. Please return these as you found them after each use. They are shared with the guests at the house. It is a natural shoreline at the bunkie, with a sandy bottom — pretty good swimming, actually! Absolutely no harsh chemicals/detergents in the water! Please leave the site tidy and as you found it. Take your garbage and recycling. This is a small lakeside community —  no loud music, please. Respect the solitude!  Please respect the natural setting — leave it as you found it, do not cut live growth.Rustic bunkie located on 2 acres, is nestled among the trees beside a small, crystal clear lake. Great spot! The cabin is in area where you privacy and the site was very clean. The lake is not busy and if you paddle you can explore other lakes easily. Easy access to town if you need supplies. The site reminded me of a good Provincial Park site but with a cabin, lights, and a private clean outhouse. It's a good location for new campers and those with more experience. Jessica was a great host.

Awesome stay!
This was such a beautiful spot. Easy to get to but feels private and cozy! Was clean, well maintained, provided the perfect amount of basics (fire pit, picnic table, blankets). Had to cut our trip one night short due to weather but we would happily book again! We can't stop talking about what a great night we had.

Perfect spot!
Exactly what we were looking for! I cannot wait to book this again. The bunkie was so charming and cozy, we felt like it was our own little clubhouse. The site has everything you need; waterfront access, privacy and shade, picnic table and fire pit, and an outhouse just far (or close) enough away. Take advantage of the canoe! We wish we had done so sooner! Easy access to so much exploration. The lake is so clean, clear and warm! The bugs weren't even too bad! This one site is a gem. We'll be back. Thank you for having us!

Everything about our stay at Jessica's Lakeside Bunkie was great! Jessica was very welcoming and easy to get into contact with. We had a great time canoeing the lakes with our dog to enjoy the beautiful fall foliage. This is a great quiet place to relax in the beauty of nature. I would definitely recommend this spot!
