Nestled conveniently between Toronto, Kitchener/Waterloo, and Hamilton on the Niagara Escarpment, visitors to River Rock Farm find joy and connection through nature and the wonders of 16 Mile Creek running through the property! The property is virtually bugless! Proud to have been voted runner up for Best Site in Canada 2023! There are 6 unique private campsites about an acre away from each other. All have picnic tables, seating, and a private firepit. #1 - Large site on the top of a hill, looking down onto 16 Mile Creek in a heavily forested setting and can accommodate an RV up to 25 feet. A rustic cabin upgrade with a bed can be purchased as well. #2 - Is one acre away in the opposite secluded corner of the same field and is very private. No Hydro line but you can borrow an ac/dc adapter to hook onto your car battery. Anything can also be charged in the barn outlet. #3 Is a very large wooded site right beside the river about a 4 minute walk down the hill from parking. No hydro. #4 - Front field on top of a hill directly overlooking 16 mile creek with hydro #5 - Back field corner. This is a large site with 2 fire pits beside a storage shelter. Hydro available. #6 - Front field Shelter site. On the side of an open field. No hydro line but an AC adapter is available free to use which can be connected to your car battery, or you can charge devices in the barn outlet. There is one shared outhouse and clean potable drinking water from a hose and frost free spigot. Reasonably priced firewood can be purchased on site and a free loaner badminton and croquet set, wheelbarrow and axe is available to borrow. On our property, you’ll find beautiful walking trails to enjoy throughout your stay and 16 Mile Creek that flows through the property where you can spend your days fishing and relaxing in the hammock. Kelso Lake back entrance for swimming is a 5 minute walk down the road. ATTRACTIONS near by: Hilton Falls is a 5 min. walk up the road, and Kelso Lavender Farm is directly across the road. Several Bruce Trail entrances for hiking are very close by. Rattlesnake Point conservation area and is a 5 minute drive south on Appleby with Rock climbing and scenic views and the legendary Crawford Lake is 10 minutes by car. Springridge Farm and Chudleighs Apple Farm are a 5 minute drive away. There are no farm animals currently - pictures posted by campers were from last year) Campbellville is a small quaint town a 5 minute drive from the farm with fantastic restaurants and a very good local grocery store. Check out all that is local and nearby at the following link: http://www.miltonweb.ca/community-services/tourist-attractions-tourism-in-and-around-milton.html Noise from a few reviews explained: Yes, the highway is close by. The range is anywhere from barely audible to very noticeable and it is generally dependent upon atmospheric conditions, Tree leaf coverage and wind direction on any given day. Quietest are sites are #3 and #4. Detailed information and arrival instructions are sent out 48 hours prior to arrival. Campers with dogs: I do have a very well behaved Shepherd who gets along with all dogs and is usually outside only when I am.

Super easy to access, everything you could need, and very well communicated! I had lots of space to myself, able to relax and explore the property, absolutely beautiful. Only downside is the road from the highway.

Hilltop overlooking creek Site #4
A great site overlooking the creek
This was our second trip to Eve's camping sites. This site, #4, overlooks the creek and is as good as the previous site (#3) that was right next to the creek. The site was as advertised, was easily accessible by car (unlike #3 where you have to carry down your stuff to the creek) and the experience was wonderful. There is the occasional train but it didn't bother us much. The highway is also near the property but the sound of the water in the creek takes over the background and provides the setup for a great night. We purchased some wood from Eve and the campfire completed the experience for us. Would love to come back soon...

First time camping was a dream!
I had a wonderful time here! There was plenty of equipment(axe, fire poker, etc) and the view was beautiful! The owner wasnt there but another resident was more than happy to help with directions and provided tape when my tent ripped. Would come back for sure!

Great experience
Eve was an amazing cooperative host. She’d leave us alone to enjoy the place but always attentive to texts if we needed anything. The place has everything we needed, electricity, clean washroom, water , fire pits, firewood, games.. etc. the children loved it and it was safe and controlled and very convenient. Can’t wait for the summer to go again!
