Pine Forest Camping
Weird trailer park vibe
I wanted to love this place but I was pretty shocked when I saw the grounds as compared to the photos. The concept was wonderful - A waterfront camping experience with amenities (the washroom was actually quite nice), kayak rentals, and a pub just in case. When we got there, there wasn't any space along the water edge but even if there had been, there wasn't really much water front to begin with, the view was lack luster and the water was gross; I'm usually not too particular about lake water but I definitely wouldn't go swimming off the broken dock. The grounds were over run with trailers and the grassy areas seemed pretty unkept. To be honest it felt like we were driving into the 'Hills Have Eyes' and it was kind of creepy. Felt more like we were staying in an abandoned trailer park than a camp grounds. It wasn't horrible but it was definitely a weird vibe and I wouldn't go out of my way to recommend.

Pine Forest Camping
We arrived late after a flat tire and weren't able to connect with the host prior to, or on our arrival (no answer on hipcamp, nor via cell phone). On arrival, we needed the help of a few residents and the bar staff to find the actual camp location. There was only one fire pit, so we set up camp there. The views were amazing, campsite (surrounds the hipcamp land) were loud and busy, but fun. The bar staff helped us find firewood and was very accommodating. We would book again now knowing how to get in :)

Bathrooms are super clean, staff are extremely helpful and nice. There is not much privacy but overall we liked our trip and stay

Great stay
As soon as we arrived with our RV, the receptionist helped us to get settled in our location and she made sure everything was good for us, lake is shallow which made it enjoyable for young kids. As first time campers it was really an enjoyable experience. Washrooms were really clean.

Relaxing and entertaining
Very relaxed and easy going campsite. A very nice property with plenty of things to do! The restaurant/pub had great food, great entertainment and was a nice place to hang out, especially when we got some rain!
