We have expanded the camping area...again and a newly built outhouse is on site.
Lake Hope is in a valley and home to all kinds of wildlife/migratory birds. You can hear loons, sandhill cranes, wolves, coyotes etc. There are no lights on this lake which makes it perfect for star gazing. All campsites have a portable fire ring and a there is a main shoreline firepit

We allow pets provided they are kept on leash.

We had a wonderful time camping at Backwater Paradise! Jackie was such an accommodating host, this was a family vacation spot that she always dreamed of turning into a campground! After we set up she brought us over our own campfire ring, offered a boat tour around the lake, and even gave us some eggs! This pristine lake is almost untouched by man, has lots of wildlife, and is loaded with fish. Perfect for fishing, kayaking, or paddleboarding. The lake is pretty private as there are no other lakefront properties on the shore. We will definitely be back to see what she has done with the property!
My stay at Backwater Paradise was perfect! Not only is it a beautiful peaceful spot Jackie is a wonderful host as well. She greeted me upon arrival to show me where to go (very easy to find) and also offered assistance if needed to set up.
Great scenery, an accommodating friendly host, easy access all combine for a wonderfully relaxing getaway.
