A must have experience!
Kathy was a wonderful host. We really enjoyed tent camping on her property! Getting to see/pet the alpacas, as well as hang with the dogs were added bonuses for any animal lover. The converted horse trailer to bathroom was unique and convenient. It was also amazing to hear all of the wildlife at night, while also feeling safe as the dogs were great patrollers :). Highly recommend!
Hard to find a better way to spend a pleasant and quiet night under a clear, star-filled country sky away from the big city. Kathy and Steve were excellent hosts and ensured I had everything I needed. The alpacas were relaxing to watch and for a special bonus a large guard dog slept just feet away from my tent all night long. Excellent!
Perfect for animal snugglers
I arrived after briefly exchanging dates with the host. Please let them know when you're on so the guard dog doesn't eat you. Once I was in my evening basically consisted of dog snuggles and snapping a perfect sunset picture. The bathroom was thoughtful, even if I didn't really needed it. Check out the alpaca products in the garage!
We had SUCH a wonderful stay at Kathy's place! Kathy and her partner were the nicest, sweetest people. They are so friendly and we had great conversations with them. Their property is in a nice tucked away area--although there are a few neighbors, you still get a nice sense of peacefulness & still feel pretty secluded, while being close to town. They have an awesome bonfire area, very cool horse-trailer-turned-bathroom, and awesome stargazing. The best part of all, though, was the animals on the property! Peacocks, a kitty, two adorable & friendly dogs, and of course the alpacas! We absolutely loved it. It was such a cozy night after a long camping trip & would love to come back one day.
One of my favorite hip camps! How often do you get to camp out with alpacas? I had a wonderful overnight stay here. The two dogs were my favorite, especially Loopy. He kept me company all night. I was solo traveling and felt perfectly safe. I had cell service as well…and the host were so friendly. Stay here, you will not regret it!!
The hosts are thoughtful and accomodating, the tent had ample room for three of us. We had a great time around the fire, under the stars, and the alpacas were excellent campmates. We even got to pet one of the alpacas a few times. Make sure to visit Kathys shop, she had many lovely, one of a kind handmade items.
We had a great time! It was just the escape we needed. The hosts were very friendly and helpful. My kids loved watching the dog and cat play and getting to pet the alpacas. It was so nice to watch the sunset, sit by the fire and swing in the hammock.
