All you need for a relaxing weekend
Perfect for a weekend get-a-way. Everything you need. Nestled in a beautiful pocket of forest. Close to some really great hiking at Edge of Appalachia Nature Preserve.
A simple getaway w/ the essentials!
Our stay was great! The place was very private although located within walking distance of our hosts place, which felt safe. The cabin was well stocked with the basics and was very clean! It felt like a welcome respite from our busy lives and we loved having the bonfire, deck, and grill all easily accessible. We also loved the friendly dog and piggy. There is a DVD player and satellite TV but no data or WiFi. We spent our days at the nearby state parks and lakes and had a great, relaxing weekend!
A quick note: the bed is on a loft and the cabin is a short unpaved walk from the car so that can be difficult if you have accessibility issues or bring a lot of stuff.
Cozy is correct 👍
You couldn't ask for a cozier cabin or a more welcoming host. It was all of the comforts of home in a tiny cabin with the added bonus of a pond and some pigs! Wayne also saved my birthday dinner lol.
Beautiful spot in the hills, as secluded as advertised. Our kids had a good time exploring the grounds and getting to know Smokey (the dog). Fantastic stargazing at night. The cabin was well equipped and very well maintained -- not drafty at all and the A/C came in handy when the temperature got a little bit higher than expected.
Note: The tick situation was particularly bad at the time of year we were there, be prepared to do frequent checks and bring some tweezers.
