We had the best time camping at orange moon this weekend! We stayed at campfire site and it was beautiful! Especially with the fall leaves. It felt very private was a little fall oasis. We went to yellow springs for the day before setting up camp and then went to cedar falls to hike after a night there: the perfect spot close to both! We will be back
Hot tent camping
We loved hot tent camping on Amy's land at Orange Moon. Amy met us at the property and showed us our camping spot. She was very cool and easy to talk to. She replied to messages quickly and was so kind to us. She had already delivered farm fresh eggs and firewood to our site. We loved meeting her dogs and playing fetch upon arrival and departure! The wagons provided make loading in and out a breeze!
We explored the land and danced under the stars. It was a cold night, but we brought our hot tent with stove and found plenty of small wood to keep us warm through the night. BONUS: the potty was very clean (the orange moon on the door made us laugh).
We were the only campers the night we stayed so it was very private and quiet. We'd love to camp again and meet some new friends. If you are looking for camping in the Dayton area, do not overlook Orange Moon!
After arriving I had a hard time finding my site, never did actually. The trail lacks signs. Way to many forks with no signs. Sites with no signs. Owners dogs ripped my tent trying to get into it. Will not stay again. I advise others to stay clear.
Relaxing evening in the woods.
Fantastic experience and communication. Amy met me upon arrival to show me the campsite and ensure I had everything I needed for an enjoyable stay. The site was nestled in the woods but still easy to access with the provided wagon. I highly recommend Orange Moon Camping!
