BRX01 was a beautiful site in the middle of the forest. Nick was very kind and helpful! He cut tons of wood for us to use during our stay. There was an axw throwing area and that was so much fun! We got really good before we left! I definitely recommend this site and will most likely be back for another stay. Loved it!

We really enjoyed our stay. Nick was a kind host- and even stopped by to bring us extra firewood when we decided to stay a bit past check out to enjoy our camping trip for a few more precious hours.

The site is also located on a beautiful vineyard. We enjoyed picking grapes and checking out Barrel Run Creek!

Very nice place. Very private. Great communication from Nick. Convenient to get food and wine from the winery. Plenty of firewood. As it was dry, we had no problems driving all the way out to the site.

My stay was great. The location is lovely; an idyllic Ohio farm and vineyard. I went up to the winery in the evening and unwound for a couple hours after setting up camp. The site had ample firewood and other amenities.

A few other reviews mentioned the train. There are train tracks across a field grape vines and through some woods. I saw the mentions of the train and brought some earplugs, but it probably would have waken me up if I hadn’t.

The campsite was great! It was very secluded and wooded. There was a fire pit with logs to sit on, more wood than we could imagine using, a picnic table with a tablecloth, and plenty of flat spaces for tents or trees for hammocks. There were even axes and a target for axe throwing and the owner left us fresh corn! The porter potty was also the cleanest one I've ever been in. The ONLY downside to this awesome campsite was that it was very close to train tracks that intersect a road and the trains came by about every half an hour, even through the night. After a while I stopped noticing it and was able to sleep. But I highly recommend this campsite unless you're a light sleeper.

BRX01 definitely surpassed our expectations. A private and peaceful site is exactly what it was. The site was well kept and also had a tent area made of small gravel which added a nice and comforting touch. The amount of stocked firewood could have lasted my family of 4 a week. We enjoyed mountain biking through the woods, a 1.5 mile hike around the wooded property, a walk through the vineyard, axe throwing, and a cooling walk through the creek that can be accessed by a short walk behind the site. The site felt like something from a movie scene. It was also nice being able to let our dog roam off leash. There is a train nearby but you get use to it quickly. It didn’t interrupt our sleep at all.

Nick was prepared to help and answer any questions from the first contact, even before booking. Nick let us be and told us to reach out if we needed anything during our stay. We were invited up to the winery but passed this time due to having children with us. My wife and I will for sure be back to check it out though.

Plenty of firewood. We had a fire going from the time we arrived until the time we left and there was still a lot left. Our dog was in paradise the whole stay Beautiful creek access a short walk behind the site Site was perfect. More than enough room for our 18x10 family tent.

Such an awesome spot! Nice place to stay for a weekend with friends and still be able to have modern places to get food for either camping or made in restaurant.

Wonderful site. Nick was great even when I arrived late and booked the site at the last minute. The only draw back was that a track tooting its whistle goes by periodically.

Before going to this site we were a little skeptical due to the reviews about the trains. Yes they are loud but if you wore earplugs you would be fine. I used my Busch Lite earplugs and it didn’t bother me a bit. Bring your bug spray as you are in the woods. The #1 good thing about this site was the privacy. Nick asked us if we needed anything or help with a fire which we didn’t and he just let us be. It was exactly what we were looking for.
We will probably be back a couple more times this summer and fall.
