Unruly goats and silly sheep
Great farm with lots of goats, sheep, chickens and friendly cats. Met by friendly bee farmer Rebecca who showed us around. Had a lot of fun even though it rained heavily.
Although the roosters are up bright and early and there’s occasional road noise, this camp is in a great location. You feel like you’re out in the country, even though it’s just a short drive to Canal Winchester and Columbus. Our host was friendly, responsive, and accommodating.
Lovely farm spot
Katherine's very welcoming and friendly, and she and Rebecca were more than willing to show us around the farm. My fiancée and I were on a camping trip and needed a place to set up a tent. There was a fenced-in area with a tree and a patch for campfires. Katherine directed us where to park, and there were sheep, chickens, and very sweet cats just milling about near the barn. It was just what we needed! There was a country road we were able to bicycle on, and it was close to Columbus. A brewery called BrewDog was only 8 minutes away. We had a very pleasant stay, and if we're in Ohio again, we would love to check this place out again.
Great camping, sad animals
The camping was great, the condition of the animals was a bit sad. Several of the sheep appeared to have hoof rot, one was walking on its knees. Several more had bloody noses and active congestion. We never even saw the goats,
I really struggled writing this review, I am sure the owner has good intentions and is working hard and I want to support their endeavor. I know my way around farms, I'm not just a city slicker who is afraid of a bit of excrement, but we won't be going back.
It was awesome!!!
It was so nice to stay here and have a safe place to spend the night on our road trip to Iowa. Katherine was one of the nicest people ever and I would definitely recommend anyone to stay at her farm. We wish we could have stayed longer and got to meet some of the animals but we had to continue our drive! We did though get to see one of the chickens this morning and it was nice to see at least one of the animals!
