Beautiful and peaceful
This property was exactly what we were looking for! We loved staying here and look forward to coming back soon. Conrad was a great host and provided everything that was listed. Communication was fast and easy. Lots of property to explore with a private area to enjoy meals and activities outdoors!
Great value for the money
Was a GREAT VALUE FOR THE COST!!
Family friendly, located in short driving distance to all destinations in Holmes county. Plenty to see and do on the property. We went to shop at Amish stores but made time to enjoy the lake, frisbee golf, the hammocks and the double swing.
It was perfect for my husband and I to get away from the city for our 9 year wedding anniversary. We enjoyed the scenic views right beyond the pond, watched the cows and horses in the fields and got some “free entertainment” :)
We also got to hike up to the baseball field, which was so cool I must say! The cabin was equipped with everything we needed. The patio out back was so relaxing and peaceful in the evening where we built a fire and watched the Strawberry Moon rise above the treetops. The next morning we had our coffee out on the porch before heading out and I honestly didn’t want to leave, I was so at peace! We definitely will be back again in the future!!
Absolutely beautiful! We really enjoyed the land. So much to do outside! Sand volleyball, a softball field, and disc golf on top having a pond to fish and play in and around. I brought my paddleboard and enjoying leisurely floating around the pond and catching fish. The patio is incredible with a fireplace and floating grill attachment. Plenty of wood for the fire too. Hammocks and a dual swing make this area super relaxing. Plenty of indoor space, but there was just 2 of us. We slept in the basement on the nicer bed, there are 3 beds in the life too. Plenty of sitting space and room in the full kitchen. Bathroom with shower was wonderful to have. Can’t wait to come back again.
Beautiful, remote amish farm settin
If you're looking for a "glamping" experience that includes a small cottage with hot showers, flushing toilets, and a beautiful Amish farm setting, this one does the trick.
If you want a few extra creature comforts, be prepare to bring a good knife for meal prep, a top sheet if you prefer one, and your own pillow.
Dishes, utensils, pots & pans, bath towels, wash clothes, and t.p. are supplied. Depending on the number of folks in your group, bringing extra utensils might be in order.
Guests need to be able to go up and down stairs, as all sleeping quarters require taking stairs. With the bathroom being on the main floor, if one needs to "go" in the middle of the night, they'll need to use stairs. If staying in the basement, the stairs are outside and lead up to the main entry. It's not difficult, but good to know ahead of your visit, just in case.
We really enjoyed being there, and would like to come back the next time we're in the area, and take things a little more slowly. Being in a rush, or not having much time to enjoy this setting doesn't do it justice.
Thank you to the owners for accommodating our later than preferred request to stay! It was our first time hipcamping, and we were happy with our experience.
Perfect getaway, my wife and I plus our dog Regis really enjoyed this place. Nice outdoor patio with a built in fire pit with tons of free wood to burn. We took our dog up the hill to run around and play fetch at the baseball diamond and she loved it. Glad we picked this place
