White Tail Tipi
Tipi, bison, fall leaves ⛺️ 🦬 🍁
This is an awesome stay! The directions were clear, host was very friendly and welcoming, and the tipi was unforgettable! Bison weren’t in the nearest pasture to us but were amazing to see. Site was private with really thoughtful touches: gravel to minimize mud, prep table and picnic table, nice fire ring with stumps, camp toilet with outhouse, extra supplies for cooking. We had a nice open view of the sky - would have been perfect for stargazing had the weather cooperated. There was heavy rain and the center of the tipi did get wet, but Carie had warned us about that and even provided an extra tarp for us. Perfect stay, even with the storms. Can’t wait to come back!

October Bison teepee
The Bison Teepee retreat was better than we thought it would be!! We could see the heard of Bison and knew we were there. Pulled in and was greeted by Carrie who is very knowledgeable and kind. We picked up our pre bought bison burgers and went to the teepee where the firewood was stacked and covered. Carrie had fresh water set up at the site along with a welcome packet with instructions on how to care for the outhouse, the fire pits, a map, things locally, etc. on day 2 Carrie waited to feed Peaches her pet bison until we were up and I was able to pet her, cautiously and through the gate. There are so many choices of bison meat and I can not wit to try them!! We spent most of our day relaxing and playing corn hole which Carrie also provided. The views were just breathtaking. It was a fantastic laid back getaway from the fast paced life we live and was exactly what we needed. Carrie is an amazing person for sharing her knowledge and farm and we are grateful for her and the hospitality!

Bison Tipi Retreat
Great place, especially for kids!
My son and I visited Cherokee Valley Bison Ranch (the Bison Tipi) last May (2022) and again for two nights in October, 2023. We've had a great trip both times! The ranch and tipi are great fun, especially for kids to explore. We enjoyed the creek and walking the trails while chatting with the bison. The tipi itself is very comfortable and such a unique setting for a camping trip. We appreciated the tools Carrie provided, as well as the fire pit, picnic table, kitchen prep table, and composting toilet. I'd highly recommend adding on the bison burger patties. They were delicious!
