I ended up not being able to make it to Broken Oak, but the owner was exceptionally nice! He checked in to see if I was going to make it, and totally understood the situation.

This campsite was excellent! We could not have chosen a better spot for our beautiful weekend away. The hosts are so hospitable and just kind people.
If you have kids between ages 4-10yrs this spot is GOLD. There is an abundance to do between the tree house, fishing pond, the bamboo forest, and petting animals.
The town is only 15min away if you forget anything and there are short kid friendly hiking trails at honey falls 15min away.
We will definitely be back next year!

Great little spot tucked into the corner of a farm! We were greeted by the peacocks and the goats made their presence known when we walked by their pen.
This is a rustic spot that hardy campers may appreciate more than those who are still a little squeamish about using composting toilets and rainwater showers.
Cycling tourists should know there is a bit of a climb from the OTET trail to get to this camp.

This was an awesome place to camp! The hosts were friendly and happy to have our kids help with the animals! There is a bamboo forest, peacocks, goats, blackberry bushes, and lots of diverse plants! There is also a pond that is great to walk around or fish in.
The site was very clean and the property is well cared for. Would definitely recommend/stay again.

This site was just plain awesome. Extremely beautiful property and animals. The kids were entertained the entire time. The hosts were so patient with explaining their daily care for the animals as well as teaching us how to milk goats and feed baby cows and feeding the pigs watermelon. I caught 5 nice sized bass while the kids swam in the pond. It was very relaxing walking around the trails and the bamboo was so cool. Definitely will be coming back to this site. Such a neat expierence and worth your time to check out!!

This camp was by far the best hipcamps we have gone to and let me tell you why! Firstly, the hosts were super friendly and made you feel so welcomed. We loved the hands on experience with the animals on the land. The peacocks and goats were our favorites. The landscape is absolutely beautiful especially the bamboo forest. The treehouse was a fun landmark for the kids and had a wash area at the bottom.

I have been to a lot of hip camps and host like these folks are why I started using this app. Very genuine people Michael and Julie have created a absolutely beautiful habitat around their property that is stunning to walk anytime of the day. The host do a great job of leaving you the privacy of there property to yourself and also including you in there everyday farm activities. Julie and her daughter allowed us to feed baby cows and help milk her goats in which they both showed great patience with us as they taught us about the animals. The stars at night are amazing there is a Bamboo forest that was so fun and cool to explore We caught big bass out of the pond and shared the grounds with many peacocks goats pigs and cats the site is gorgeous and is next to a treehouse which the kids loved and had so many amenities that were added. I could go on and on about this property and the host all I can say is give this place a chance you will not regret it this was one of my favorite Hipcamps and host I will surely be back. Ps make sure to buy some honey made from bees right in the property thank you Michael and Julie can’t wait to stay again
