Amazing weekend stay.
We loved this place! It was nice and quiet, the lake was beautiful, and the yurt was amazing. We have already started recommending it to all of our friends and family. We will definitely be back.
This amazing campground totally blew us away! Hard work has gone into creating a perfect campsite for all levels of camping, from rustic tent camping and RV hookups to glampsites with yurts and a beautifully built tiny house. There is a stunning pond that's easily accessible for the community of campers to use, as well as beautiful gazebos and amenities such as a ice machine, bathrooms, showers, and even a beautiful sauna (which is currently closed due to covid). We enjoyed a peaceful evening catching fish off the dock and cooking dinner over our private fire pit. The yurt we stayed in was heated and had a wonderfully comfy bed.
No matter what type of camping you're looking for, this stunning campsite has you covered!
This was a quick get away for my boys and myself. We were able to hike, fish, row and sit by a camp fire and have smores. The yert was more than I expected. The bath house was super clean and comfortable. I'd definitely recommend this to anyone else.
A great bikepacking destination
This is an amazing place that is no longer a secret. With all the places to explore at Walnut Hill, TLC next door, The Neuse a mile south, a lake to play around on, disc golf, and dogs romping around (there are off-leash pups so beware), it is a true adventure just minutes from downtown Raleigh, Clayton, and Knightdale. Oh, and we bikepacked in from downtown Raleigh, a 20-mile ride you can do with only 3/4 mile on road...the rest is all greenway and trail.
