Welcome! This primitive Tent/RV site offers: 2-Private Acres + FREE Firewood + 8-foot Industrial Picnic Table + Little Tikes Picnic Table + Commercial-Grade Port-A-Potty + Large Garbage Can + 5-Gallon Bucket + Adirondack/Sitting Chairs + Pet Friendly!

Solo, families, & romantic getaway travelers: This is a very private and safe place to camp! Because we only have 1 site, you will be alone in the space the entire time. My family lives on the premises so we are here in case of an emergency.

We own 35 acres and your campsite (The Grassy Knoll) is right in the center. Your campsite is about 2 acres. You cannot see our home from the road. When you arrive, you will pull to the front of the house and I/we will greet you and give you your paperwork and information. You will drive past the house, down the hill, and park/camp in the Grassy Knoll. You are surrounded by trees on 3 sides and a creek on the 4th side.

There is plenty of room for outdoor games (soccer, corn hole, Frisbee, badminton, croquet, etc.). The creek runs next to you. The creek is not real deep so it is perfect for kids to play in. Some have strung their hammocks across the creek and napped/read listening to the sound of the water running over the rocks. Others have sat our Adirondack chairs in the creek and soaked their feet while reading their latest book or watching their kids play. There are minnows and crayfish too.

The horses will be grazing across the creek from you. Our horses are Shires! The Shire horse is a draft horse and listed as the tallest horse breed in the world. They are considered endangered. Be sure to say hello to them! WATCH YOUR FEET! You visit them with your own insurance so ENJOY THE HORSES AT YOUR OWN RISK!

NOTE: We close the Grassy Knoll from December 1st through April 1st to let the land rest. You can book up to one year in advance so plan ahead!

Be sure to post your pictures so others can see how you enjoyed your time at Kohler Farms!

Most Sincerely, Dayla and Denae (mother & daughter)

Wonderful camp site next to the creek that you can walk in. We setup our tents in the giant field surrounded by wooded tree line. Sit at the picnic table under an overhanging tree. Fire pit was the ultimate hangout spot. Fire wood is supplied by owners. Walk over across the creek and say hello to the massive horses! They are friendly 😁 Overall great experience and privacy.

I loved my stay at Kohler Farms Grassy Knoll! Everything I needed was provided from dry fire wood to a portable bathroom facility. I am a woman who was camping alone and this place gave me exactly what I needed, a private yet secure and safe place to stay by myself. I was given freedom to visit with the Shire horses in the pasture next to my campsite (with the knowledge that I took responsibility for my own safety and insurance...they are big big puppies that don't realize their own weight or presence and how fragile our little toes are! But as long as you are mindful and careful, they are a wonder to be with). I spent some time brushing and petting them. Dayla and Denae were great hosts and found the perfect balance of being available if I needed anything and also allowing me my privacy. Such a great experience and lovely piece of property. I will definitely return here again.

We absolutely loved this little spot! There were plenty of trees providing shade and privacy and a creek perfect to cool off in. We pitched hammocks across the creek and read all day. The hosts were thoughtful, communicative and very hospitable while leaving us to ourselves. They also provided plenty of firewood and a clean port a potty. We got to see the horses from a distance and just soaked in the spot. Thank you so much! We well be back🥰
