beautiful home, nice flat yard and nice gardens—easy to set up tent, but watch out for dog poop in the yard. Heather was friendly and came out to meet us when we arrived, but did not mention where toilet was/how to access it or the wifi, nor where to find spigot for water. we forgot to ask, but didn’t see her again. she did show us where to find firewood. there was also no picnic table as mentioned in the description. no big deal, but not entirely what we were expecting. otherwise easy to find and an enjoyable stay.
Amazing host, kid friendly
Our first time using Hipcamp and it was perfect. My two girls and I had planned to camp in Ontario but due to covid border lockdown we couldn’t. We had been camping for a month around the Great Lakes and wanted to be close to Lake Ontario and found Heathers place. Couldn’t of been happier, my 8 year old said it was the best place we stayed the whole trip. I asked my 6 year old if she liked it there and she corrected me and said she loved it not liked it.
The site was relatively private along the garden beds of the host’s home. The host was very friendly and communicative.
As a camping site for a tent the ground in the yard was pretty compacted and a bit harder than a few other places we camped on our trip.
We drove an extra 45 minutes to camp on a farm in the Buffalo area. The site had a bit more debris in the surrounding environment than had hoped given the selected pictures.
Wonderful night along lake ontario.
Our host, Heather, was extremely friendly. She had some extra lettuce in the garden, and cut some for us. It was delicious. There was a nice trail along the woods behind the camp. The dogs loved going on it. I would highly recommend staying here if ever you get up to Niagara Falls or Rochester.
I enjoyed my stay on this small farm in upstate New York. We were there too early for fruit or vegetables, but we did get eggs from the resident chickens! The night was very peaceful, with the windows open listening to the frogs and coyotes. We say deer and rabbits on our morning walk. Heather was kind and helpful. Her big labs are friendly and sweet. Our AT&T signal was strong enough to stream video for work, 30 download, 6 upload. Our Verizon signal was slow, 5 download, 1 upload. I would definitely stay here again!
