The best sleep we had on our travel
Staying here was our favorite of our whole journey! I stayed here with my two kids. It felt safe, it was quiet, it was close to some amazing places to eat, near the ferry and subway. Our host Alex was quick to answer questions and super accommodating. I would 100% stay here again.

Great Urban Camping Spot!
Super convenient place to camp! It was easy walking distance from the subway. We felt very safe staying here in our small teardrop camper with two kids. The bathroom and shower were a bonus! Thanks for having us!

Drive in theater
Very different type of camping on the fringes of a paved drive-in theater. Although there were no hookups available to reserve, all the sites seemed to have water & power. Very convenient to the greenpoint ferry, but not to subway lines that take you to Manhattan. Best way to get around is by bike in any case!

This spot is pretty amazing. The view of Manhattan is unbeatable and Greenpoint has so much to offer. Tons of restaurants and shops close by. The only downside is that I went in winter and with the wind off the water, it was really cold.

Pop up in the drive in!
My family members were a little sketch when I told them what we were doing, but we absolutely loved popping up our camper in the skyline drive in. The sunset and sunrise views were Amazon on the river. For being the middle of November, it was surprisingly warmer than we had thought it would. There were a number of RVs/campers/cars on the lot and everyone was super respectful and quiet. The whole area was quiet. The bathroom is extremely clean and the water has no problem getting hot. There was soap and full conditioner/shampoo, which I
definitely didn't expect. Dennis and Nadine were extremely responsive and addressed our concerns when we couldn't find the driveway/parking spot. The maintenance people were very friendly. The lot is dog friendly. We didn't bring our dog, but it's definitely a spot that we would feel comfortable doing. There's a near by kids park. The subway is about a 20 minute walk/not too far. Subway/McDonalds super close. As well as many many local shops. Somewhere we can see ourselves staying again as we take this trip every year.
