Majestic Farm is a safe place. We welcome all members of the community, and emphasize that we are safe space for BIPOC and for members of the LGBTQI community. All people are beautiful.

This is a beautiful site overlooking our orchard. There are huge boulders to sit and climb on as well. We just installed our newest tiny house, perfect and cozy for an intimate weekend. There is a full size mattress and some seating in the house. There is a picnic table and camp fire pit to cook and enjoy. Our pigs pasture nearby the site, so you might glance some large and small pigs roaming about near the rocks. About a three minute walk (you'll pass on your way to the site) there is a very remote and private shared outdoor shower, outhouse, wash sink with potable water and spot you can plug in to charge near the farm house. There is also a shared outdoor kitchen with a refrigerator, gas cooking range and sink in addition to electrical outlets. There are some tables around the kitchen area as well as a fire pit and grills. This is an active farm - so you can enjoy spending time among the orchard trees and observing the chickens and pigs. Please bring bedding and towels (if you require them - let us know). Our house is almost visible from the site over the rocks and hills, a few hundred feet away - however the walk from parking to camp does not come near any other sites, houses etc.

We have a tandem bicycle available for rent as well for $20 a day. You can ride down our road (about a mile) or all the way into Mountain Dale to grab a slice of gourmet pizza at "The Dale"

This is a very woodsy site. It is not a hotel or sterile feel. It is out in nature, there are sticks, rocks, leaves, bugs, rain, mud, and all of the camp type things - often even inside your rental space. We have a little squirrel that has been seen visiting in the tiny house. The outhouse is an outhouse - so it is not like a hotel room bathroom. You will experience sounds, sites and happenings including animals such as  deer, bald eagles, turtles, porcupines, beavers, chipmunks, squirrels, frogs, toads, snakes and more. This area does also have bears & coyotes. We advise not to leave food out at night. We recommend bug spray or candles as there are many flies and other insects that enjoy buzzing around. As we are an active farm you will likely hear rooster crow, a tractor hum, geese and ducks and pigs as you explore the property. Sometimes during the day we do run the tractor to mow or spray the orchard (organic actually involves lots of SAFE spraying of clay, nee and natural products to protect the apples). You should expect a rustic, woody, campsite type feel - not a typical air b n b type rental apartment.

Please carry out what you carry in and leave it clean for the next group. We clean between all visitors - and are currently keeping quite a distance to protect you, the site and everybody involved.

The property is a 5 minute drive to the hamlet of Mountaindale, @ visitmountaindale/ mountaindale dot com which has a lovely Rail Trail for hikes and bikes, and some excellent dining options including @ highvoltagecatskills, in addition to creek bar a magical cafe & bar with outdoor seating and fire pits that serves delicious modern Polish American comfort food, great cocktails, and has live music and events on weekends. There is also an artisan pizza spot with indoor/outdoor seating, hipster vibes and fun cocktails and live music @ thedaleNY

For shopping you can also stop by @ forageandgather - they have foods, meats, gourmet deli and coffee and carry all the little things you may have forgotten to bring along in addition to a locally and craft focused wine and spirits shop. Also stop by @ ambikaboutique and get some hand crochet bikinis or angora hats and vintage clothing in addition to local jewlery. Check out a full herbal apothecary with gifts and body products @ witcheyhandmade, in addition to a few other small shops in town.

There is superb hiking nearby at Neversink Unique Area in Rock Hill. Also Bashakill trails (and conveniently a vineyard with tastings and events right nearby). Your'e also about 30 minutes away from super cute fun larger towns and attractions like New Paltz, Livingston Manor, and tons of incredible Catskill hiking and nature opportunities. NOTE! There's an excellent Farmers Market on Saturday's in Rock Hill from 10-1pm from June to September also. Come find us there!

As always - if you have any questions, issues, concerns, please don't hesitate to reach out - we are here to help!

10/10 would recommend! We wanted a stopover on the way back to DC from Massachusetts and it was such a nice change of pace from urban Airbnbs, like camping but without all the gear (though do remember to bring a headlamp or candles/matches, bug spray, and be prepared for mud if it's been raining.)

My doggo and I had a peaceful, relaxing stay in our tiny house at Majestic farm. Sara and Brett were wonderful hosts. We really enjoyed the farm property, our fire pit, and the outdoor kitchen. Got in some local hiking a trip to the farmers market, and dinner at the quaint restaurant in town. Just what we needed to disconnect for a couple of days! Looking forward to a return trip.

The Camping Experience was truly majestic.
We decided to have a lodge in case of thunderstorm/ heavy rain. This tiny, cozy lodge was so charming, making the campsite look prettier.
The site is very private, no other campers can be seen nearby. The farm is pretty. You see chickens, ducks and pigs at the farm. Apple orchards are beautiful. You might sight some wild frogs, rabbits as well.
The hosts Sara and Brett were so responsible, answering all questions before and during the stay through messaging.
We checked in 2 days after the tropical storm, the power was down with no running water on the day we arrived, but they told us beforehand so we could get extra prepared.
Thankfully the power was back soon and we all could enjoy the shower & washing dishes :) We had a blast eating on the Boulders, seeing the sunset, stars, and the sunrise.
Kids’ most favorite memory at the camp was Max, the super friendly dog at the farm!! They want to come back to play with Max again :)
I highly recommend this place, however, get prepared to the tremendous amount of flies and don’t forget the bug repellent. It’s a living farm, so no blame.

Absolutely beautiful property and a great location! Perfect for checking out nearby towns like Livingston Manor and Narrowsburg. The Tiny house was super cute and the fire pit was a nice touch. While I didn’t expect the bathroom to be much, it did seem like it needed to be tended to and was super smelly so we opted to take advantage of any and every public bathroom that we came across. The mattress was also really uncomfortable so we didn’t get much sleep. Overall, nice little glamping spot but wish we didn’t pay so much for it.

Response from Majestic, the Host, on August 2nd, 2020

Hello, please remember to contact your hosts if you ever have issues as we all strive to give our campers the most fantastic stay and aim to have everybody feel the value was there. You never reached out to us to suggest there were any problems - it was 80-90 degrees so the outhouse has its moments - particularly following you or another guest utilizing it - however if you let us know we can service more often that day to ensure everybody is content. The key to having a great stay is letting us know what would make it so - we are super receptive and responsive - so perhaps next time try talking to your hosts! We also made special accommodations for you immediately when you asked - surprised you didn't bother to mention your concerns. Good luck on your next travel experience.
