Great stay at the campsite. Our host Gwyneth was quick to respond. I was pleasantly surprised to find a platform for our tent in the meadow, too. It's right across the Rail Trail from the cafe, which had some live performances the evening we were there. The campsite was not the most secluded, but we were glad to have some distance from the cafe/stage. The cafe had a friendly atmosphere and great food! And bike rental right there made for an easy ride on the trail the next day. Would definitely come back!
Busier than expected
Red Fox farm was lovely with lots of accessibility to food, music, people, walking trail, trapeze etc.
the meadow is a stones throw from the walking train & cafe that had a stage & live music playing both nights. which was cool to hear the various bands play. the walking trail has lots of activity too, anyone walking or riding by the music was stopping to check it out, and the entrance to the cafe/stage is a few feet from the meadow.
i personally was looking for a more secluded retreat, to be more enveloped into nature, quietly listening to the birds/wild things & have less exposure to other people.
if you’re looking for things to do and accessibility to activities/people/music this is great!
if you’re looking for a secluded quiet nook in nature, this may not be it.
Convenient, beautiful camping space
Perfect piece of land on the rail trail, perfect for anyone who wants a quick night of camping not too far into the woods. Convenient distance from the parking lot and the rail trail café. Lots of mosquitoes at the end of September, so bring bug spray — otherwise we had the perfect night of camping.
One of the most fun camping stays we’ve had! The campsite was beautiful, clean, lush, and we loved touring the whole farm and meeting the sweet horses! The Rail Trail cafe on the grounds had such lovely entertainment- our son loved listening to the music and the refreshments were delicious (had the rosewater orange juice and coconut turmeric ball). We can’t wait to come back!
This was such a great place to camp, especially with direct access to the bike trail and the rail trail cafe. The people that run the cafe are so friendly and kind, and this is where to access water and the porta potty. I loved my stay and highly recommend it. Lots of mosquitos when I was there but everything else was fantastic.
What a cool place!
What a cool place! The farm looks amazing, with a lot going on. Everyone that we met was super nice and welcoming. The campsite is tucked away off of a public trail, which felt a bit odd, but was really pretty great. Gorgeous spot. The best part was the cafe right across the trail from the campsite which kept us fed and hydrated.
