I loved using my pop up camper on Theo’s property with my best friend for a much needed relaxing weekend. Would highly recommend it is a one of a kind place.
Beautiful property with fun creek for people and pets. Quincy was a fabulous host. He helped make sure we had everything we needed.
DragonWood has some cool features, including chickens, a lovely creek and some mushroom-full woods.
We arrived around 8, and had a hard time finding it in the dark. The grounds person didn’t answer our knocks, so we parked and slept and checked in the next morning.
The grounds keeper Quincy was friendly and brought over a wagon full of applewood for the fire. There wasn’t an actual fire pit - just a patch of bare dirt - but we were told that’s ok. It’s not really ideal for animals or younger kids.
The well water was fine, and free. And we ran a cord for power.
The mustard weed field and the trees are pretty, and there are so many stars on a clear night. but the RV sites are really close to a road where cars go by super fast. Neighbors were loud- lots of off-roading vehicles going, including late nights. The outhouse is fine for an outhouse, but there was no sawdust to scoop after poop- making it kinda stinky.
If you camp close to the creek, I think this will be a better experience but the outhouse is extra far from the creek - there are lots of nice sites with trees for hammocks. If you have an RV and a dog like we did, it might not be as good a fit. We had a nice time, but we’ll find something quieter and farther from the road next time.

We had such a great trip to DragonWood! It’s a very cool area to visit. Quincy was our host and was super welcoming as well as very genuine and kind. We opted to have a meal cooked for us which was so good! The campsite is really unique and fun. There is a goldenrod field next to the parking site across which there is a creek with space for a campfire and a place to do yoga and a few tent sites among the old apple trees (We also had a campfire next to the RV). The kids loved the chickens and cat that roam around. We loved it and plan on going back!
I had a great time camping at Dragonwood. The spot we camped at was well made and had beautiful scenery. Theo greeted me when I first got there and provided a wagon to take our stuff to the camp site. He was very kind and easy to talk to. All in all great experience.
My stay at DragonWood was so magical that I extended my stay! Above all the magic and sparkles that light up this property, safety is my number one priority as a solo female traveler. I rate it a 10/10 for safety and a 12/10 for magic!
Before making the reservation I talked to Theo on the phone about a few concerns for my 15ft pop up trailer. He was understanding and made sure to greet me when I arrived. He helped set me up where I was most level, shaded and had a view!
My partner and I came to Dragonwood for our anniversary and had the most amazing and magical stay. Despite it thunderstorming and raining for a lot of our trip we managed to have a nice fire going daily and had a great time just relaxing at our camp spot and vibing with the land. The stream was a little chilly but once you get used to it it is absolutely perfect and so refreshing and healing. The communal area was one of the big highlights of the land including a mini dock to do yoga, a teepee with lights to meditate and a mini sweat lodge. The well water was amazing and tasted great too (no sulfur taste). Theo was so accommodating for us, he gave us a wagon to help bring our stuff to our campsite and offered us shelter during the thunderstorm to make sure we were safe. By the time we were packing up our campsite we were already planning our next trip out here, I can’t wait to visit here again and to enjoy more music played by Theo. If you’re considering doing any of the add ons I fully recommend you get a meal made by Theo, he made us some of the most delicious chicken legs with rice, kale and plum sauce, my mouths watering just thinking about it again! If you’re looking for a magical escape from reality and looking to reconnect with nature and yourself I 100% recommend you plan a visit out here! During our 4 day trip we explored just the tip of the iceberg in terms of land and can’t wait to come and see more!! Thank you again Theo for the magical experience here!
