Yankabilly Island is situated in Pomona, just 10 minutes from the historic Riverboat township of Wentworth, NSW.  Mildura is 40km away.

We are surrounded by flowing water (Darling River & Billabong) with access to Yankabilly Island via a causeway, wide enough for trucks and other large vehicles.  All camp sites are off the driving/walking perimeter track starting at the property gates, past the homestead and beyond.  Pick your own picturesque site on the water's edge or inland if you prefer.  Most sites are suitable for caravans & motor-homes.  The DARLING RIVER CAMPING GROUND is situated near the homestead and is ideal for, but not limited to, large groups. The wide BILLABONG CAMP SITES are suitable for both small or medium size groups and/or those wishing more privacy.  Choose your site on arrival.

We run a small farm of sheep, chicken, guinea fowl, organic orchard of 20+ fruit trees and usually have jams & free range eggs available for purchase.

* Free Firewood during your stay -  collect your own from around the property.

* Free use of three kayaks, 2singles and a double.

* Mooring available on the property - Pomona boat ramp is 3km away.

* Well behaved/controlled dogs welcome.

Must be self-sufficient with own water and leave no trace.  Your own toilet would be preferable but we do have 2 drop toilets on the property; one at the Darling River campground and the other along the billabong.

Infants and toddlers Free of Charge. Children 5+ must be counted as extra person.

Secluded, tranquil paradise away from the hustle & bustle of caravan parks, national parks & stations Terri was most welcoming & Alan followed up with info about the Wentworth district We particularly enjoyed walking around the billabong each morning We ran out of time to use the kayaks on the Darling Ample wood available to collect & we enjoyed a fire each evening, using our jaffle irons for our potato in the jacket Such a private hideaway & a base to explore all that Wentworth has to offer

The setting was lovely with all the pelicans in the river. Rustic beauty at its best.

Alan was really accommodating and responsive when we had to change dates at the last minute (car failure!). The riverside sites looked great but were taken by the time we arrived. So we were in the billabong with lovely views, birds, frogs, good pit toilets, and amazing sunset/sunrise/stars. There were limited flat sites for big tents like ours but lots of sites for smaller tents or swags. Unfortunately the only available flat spaces were covered in hundreds of small spikey bushes that grabbed at ankles, stuck in our hands and were painful to clear. A few spikes even broke through the bottom of our tent. So just suggest a ground sheet, boots and/or camper trailer for the billabong. Otherwise was a great spot in great location. Wish we could've taken out the kayaks!
