Great location and well presented sites, neat and tidy. Good walking nearby, and friendly cattle.

A little chilly in winter but still nice,

Will definitely be returning.

Kookaburra Camp is what everyone needs, a bit of down time from the crazy world we live in. The area is beautiful sitting at camp just watching the river flow by and listening to the cows. Lovely drive into the camp spot going thru various other properties and forests etc. Toilets and shower a bonus. Could not recommend enough!!!

Fantastic spot for a weekend away from it all. Peaceful & secluded site down by the river. The cattle are awesome & pretty happy to share their space!

Beautiful site amongst cattle

The campsite was beautiful, the river and kiaking experience was also great. The two challenges for us personally we're the constant and close proximity of the cows and their tenacity to eat the charcoal from the campfire even when the fire was burning. This made campfire cooking challenging. Not having experience camping amongst cattle before, I wasn't sure if it was safe, especially given the calves were quite small still and the bulls large. The close proximity of the cows (walking right outside our tent) also attracted a fair amount of flies for this time of year.

Another quality relaxing time at Wunglebung. This time it was on the western side due to the high river levels. Plenty of room between the camps gave you plenty of privacy and all campers were relatively quiet and welcoming. Plenty of platypus sightings as well of huge variety of bird life. The cattle were only to happy to share their surroundings with you and they enjoyed the leftover charcoal from the previous night's fire pit. The drop pit toilets were spotlessly clean and well managed by Sarah. Overall a fantastic time to simply rest and relax alongside the river.

We had the most amazing stay on Sarah’s property. It totally over delivered in every aspect…..The land is beautiful and our camp Kookaburra was so private with its own piece of river to swim in and extremely clean toilets a stroll away. We loved the fact that we were off grid and so close to nature.
We will be back with our nature loving friends 🙏
