A beautiful site for singles, couples or a small family. Set amongst the watergums 100m off the sealed road. This site has some beautiful shaded pools just over 1 meter deep, and perfect for a quiet refreshing plunge or hours of fun for the kids. Parents can relax in the shade on the bank and watch the kids play.

For those with more opportunity for peace and quiet, sit and listen to the wind whisper through the oaks and gums as it flows up the valley or down from the plateau, and enjoy the constant song and conversation of the birds as they go about their busy day.

The Watergums site is set in a great position to explore upstream and down and is 400 meters downstream of our very popular waterhole.

Please Note: This site is suitable for a small to medium caravan, motorhome or camping trailer. If you have a large setup, our other listing "The Knoll - Waterhole" is wet weather accessible for any sized vehicle.

We stayed at the Knoll for 2 nights in our caravan. We had the whole place for ourselves, the creek was amazing and pristine clear. It made our trip quite magical. To add to the magic there were fire flies at night! Greg was a wonderful host, really friendly and helpful. He offered the kids body boards to float down the creek which the kids loved. Would definitely go again and would recommend for anyone.

The camp site was truly magical. My friends and I had to take a moment to appreciate just how lovely the river was with the bush scenery. Waking up to the sound of chirping birds and running water was the perfect morning.

Such an amazing little spot to ourselves right next to the river. The campsite was spotless and well groomed. Greg and Emma were kind enough to have the fire set up for us when we got there and they were so accommodating. I would 100% be back

This is a second stay for us. Well cared for grounds and pristine water way. Quiet, serene but close to home which makes it attractive for a quick getaway.

I can't recommend this camping spot enough. It's beautiful and my son had such a great time in the river with the kayak. On the fringe of national park and so close to coastal and foodies paradise of Coffs and Sawtell.

We loved staying here and are very thankful to our hosts for sharing this special place with us. They are working hard to restore the native trees and vegetation on the river bank. The birdlife and crystal clear water is testament to what they are achieving. Thanks to Greg for his daily visits and helpful local information. We would love to return here.

I'd like everyone to know about this tranquil spot under the trees, right on the edge of the flowing river...but I'd also like it to be secret enough to be available for us next time!
Greg and Gemma were very friendly and we even had a lovely encounter with them as they led their children along the river on horseback.
Greg has done so much in making this area sustainable in the future and he has actually made many environmental improvements. He has some great plans and anyone staying here will be so pleased they did.
Greg and Gemma have some strict rules regarding waste, rubbish, being fully self contained, noise levels etc but that's how it should be. Camps like this are meant to be peaceful and to give an opportunity to nestle into nature at its best.
We highly recommend The knoll - Watergum Pools and the surrounding national parks. We loved meandering along country roads on our e-bikes, watching and listening to all the birds and we even had an audience of curious cows while we played boules.

We had a wonderful time camping at the Watergum pools. We were camped right next to the creek, the water was crystal clear and great for swimming! There were plenty of beautiful shady spots under the trees for a picnic during the day and we lay in the open field at night for some star gazing. The hosts were very kind, and checked in with us to make sure we were enjoying our stay and had plenty of fire wood. Thanks for having us Greg and Gemma! :)
