Welcome to Redgate Farm. Set up camp in the spacious semi-cleared site, slightly elevated and overlooking the dam, hills and valley. The perfect spot to watch the sun set through the trees with a glass of local wine or a frosty beer while you unwind around the campfire. We take one booking at a time only. Bird life and kangaroos frequent the paddock and will often accompany you at camp. The dam is stocked with yabbies - try your luck or take a dip to cool off. It is shallow for about 5 metres in and then drops off and is quite deep. Redgate Farm is only 10 mins to Mudgee CBD with some famous wineries only 3 mins away. Why stay in a crowded caravan park in Mudgee when you can have this camp all to yourself but still be so close to town. Please note - although there is plenty of space here, we do have neighbours relatively close by as well as a main road. It is peaceful at Redgate Farm but we don’t want to leave you disappointed. Fires are permitted pending local weather and restrictions/bans. Fires are strictly only to be lit in your choice of 2 supplied fire pits. Feel free to collect kindling and wood from the paddock but no cutting down of standing trees. Please leave all garbage in the supplied bin at camp (NO HUMAN WASTE). All toilet cassette waste to be removed from the property. Redgate Farm is pleased to announce we now have an operational toilet at the campsite. This is a rustic composting drop toilet. Please be aware - it is not a fancy flushing toilet like at home. It is very basic but it does the job and saves you worrying about bringing a portable toilet. Please ensure you BYO toilet paper though!

      We were greeted by friendly horses and then by friendly hosts who gave us easy directions to our campsite. There was wood ready for us next to the fire pit. It was a perfect farm stay close to town. Our dog loved it too.

      A quiet, private and largely level paddock was a great camp site. The dog loved it, even the cheeky horses we shared with. Very close to Mudgee, a great spot. Would like to return in the future for a longer stay.

      I know it is Mudgee but think it is too expensive for what it is. We were 4 people with 1 caravan and a tent. $114 inc $18 Hipcamp fee for 1 night unpowered site and drop dunny. Was a nice field, and pretty quiet (only occasional cars passing on nearby road) - but the dam was underwhelming. 2 nights at Dubbo Midstate caravan park was $106 unpowered site. 4 nights Carinya Station lightning Ridge $163 for unpowered + drop dunnies. (the dam here was impressive)

      Loves Redgate Farm. The horses are very friendly, and fond of a carrot! It's such a peaceful private place to getaway. Would happily recommend and stay here again. Amy is lovely, was such a pleasure.

      Beautiful Spot, Great Hosts
      Amazing place to camp in Mudgee. This was our second visit to Redgate farm and we would definitely recommend it. Amy and Brad are awesome hosts. The place is beautiful and it is really conveniently located. We will be back!

      Beautiful private spot with plenty of room for the dogs to run around freely. The horses were also lovely.
