Overall the location and camp grounds are very good, but they should never have accepted bookings or should have refunded those booked given the condition of the grounds post floods.
We were placed out in the middle of the grounds surrounded by so much ground water and were u able to enter or exit our site without creating copious amounts of mud.
Obviously this was quite evident to the grounds keeper as people who arrived in the following days were all placed around the edges of the camp grounds in seemingly drier lots and several were also located on the bitumen.
The whole experience was let down by the condition of the ground and not being given the option to move to a more suitable drier location within the camp grounds.

Unfortunately with all the rain recently, the site was completely saturated and the water on the field could not drain away. Our site was towards the back in the middle of the field with our caravan.

The next day other caravans who arrived where positioned on the edge of the field next to the road. Would of been better if we where positioned the same and would save having to walk through the field in the water.

Otherwise facilities are good, but I would not recommend staying there if you know rain falls are predicted during your stay. We ended up leaving one day early to escape the wet and muddy site.

Nice and friendly care taker on-site, and the Saturday markets where a delight!! Worth checking out if your on-site Saturday morning.

Our camp spot at Mullimbimbi Showgrounds was amazing….. despite it being under water just a few weeks ago…. the caretaker took great care of us to ensure we had a dry safe place to park our van.
The facilities were fabulous, clean & hot showers.
We bought local as much as we could to help you recover.
Great job Mulla…. we will definitely come again next year.

Very peaceful. Amenities clean and showers were hot. Easy walk into town. Added bonus of waking up on Friday morning to the smell of coffee brewing at the farmers market, just a few metres at the doorstep!!

Very disappointing experience. We paid for a powered site, and due to a bit of rainfall the care taker would not let us and others on the grass, despite there being several other vans, cars and tents on the grass but we had to park on the road going through the grounds, between a jucy van and a bus, and had cars driving by. Had no privacy and the view was disappointing. We had to park as close as physically possible to the van in front us just so we could plug the van into the power, which was constantly tripping anyway and didn’t work. We booked 3 nights but could only stay for one because of how terrible and uncomfortable it was. We couldn’t fully set up our van to cook or have some space to sit outside of the van because we would’ve been out on the road if so. I would like my money back.

Our van on the road, wedged between another van. Behind us is a jucy van, the road is the way in and out of the site where we had cars and vans driving past us, no room to spread out like everybody else who was parked on the grass and had space. Not what I paid for or expected at all

Easy to find, a minute or 2 to township. Site managers were more than accomadating. Amenities clean, hot shower were great. Powered site under gorgeous trees, looking out to Mt Chincogan, and surround by nature bird life was soothing and flat clean green grounds, quite surroundings, and not crowded. The locals were very pleasant. So many hidden gems in regards to food, quaint stores, markets & spa's. Will definitely be booking again. Thankyou again
