No amenities self contained camping only. Suitable for vans, tents swags etc.
Dogs permitted under supervision. Campfires permitted in designated areas when restrictions aren't in place.
Karoola Station is a working family farm, lucky enough to have frontage and easy access to the Murrumbidgee River near Gundagai in NSW, halfway between Sydney & Melbourne. We are located a short 13km drive off the Hume Highway and only 45 minutes from Wagga Wagga the largest inland city in NSW. Not only is Gundagai the gateway to the Riverina but the Snowy Mountains Alpine area is within a day trip from here too, making it a great central location.
We are sheep graziers, and in season, visitors can observe the newborn lambs or freshly shorn sheep.

It is just so peaceful and beautiful. At sunset, The various birds entertainment is fabulous, like a natural orchestra ending with those cheeky kookaburras laughing at all and sundry.
Beautiful open campsites on the riverbank. Had a nice stay, the sounds of the river and the birds was lovely to wake up to. Hosts were friendly. Will definitely come here again!
The sitenwas perfect for a one nighter just off Hume, but would also be secluded enough to stay when it's a bit warmer.
-1deg Celsius when I was there, but there was some spare firewood that I was allowed to use.
As there was no other bookings some flexibility on checkout was give today my gear before leaving

Stayed for 2 nights, great spot by the river with easy access to the river. James and Sheryl very accommodating and were happy to help in any way. Plenty of space on beautiful flat grassy ground. Will definitely be back in the future.
We highly recommend this very peaceful and spacious spot on the banks of the Murrumbidgee River, which we shared with an abundance of bird life. for 4 nights. It’s a great central location with plenty to see and do in the area. Sheryl and James are very helpful and hospitable hosts, and we would love to come and stay again.
Lovely quiet spot on the banks of the Murrumbidgee. Only one other camper there but even if there were more there is plenty of space. We stayed for 2 nights and nearly had to stay one more night when our motor home wouldn’t start the next morning. Thanks to Travis for getting us going.
Will definitely come back and stay a bit longer.
