The town of Jennings is a small, quirky town close to the border, with a population of about 150.
Jennings is in two time zones, both QLD and NSW!
There is a characterful café and information about the area in the perfectly preserved old railway station. Another treasure is the Jennings hotel. Lyn is a friendly welcoming proprietor who can tell you all about the area's history and the pub's.
There are many popular wineries in the region, three of which have wonderful restaurant meals.
13 minutes by car going south, is the much-loved federation town of Tenterfield - with appealing cafes, clothes shops, country outfitters, the famous Tenterfield Saddlery and a cinema which seats about 50, a railway museum, a stylish yet friendly Commercial Hotel for eating out and a historic café where federation was called into being by Henry Parkes. There are occasional Saturday morning markets too.

Beautiful place, well kept, close to a small center and just a few minutes from Girraween national park.
We loved it!
Beautiful, secluded campsite. Plenty of space and easy to access.
Very pretty and private spot right near the Qld border. Lots of wildlife and close to town for supplies.

Great little private camping spot. Very helpful host! Plenty of firewood. Few kangaroos bounding around to complete the aesthetic. Located only minutes drive to lovely historic town of Tenterfield . Short drive to the beautiful National parks which was our reason for staying here. Would highly recommend.
This was a beautiful camp and we intend to visit again. Gillian is a wonderful host. The camp is secluded and clean and an easy run to Tenterfield and surrounds. Highly recommend staying here.

We had the best long weekend at this property. Perfectly flat ground, plenty of space all to yourselves with a few friendly horses. Plenty of firewood provided with a great set up to cook on it. Plenty of things to do for a long weekend; easy to hard really unique hiking options, wineries and waterfalls. I highly recommend this stay to anyone who wants to get away from the crowds but still only be 15 minutes from the township/shops and the national park hikes etc. Thanks again for the great trip 👍

Beautiful place, very warm and friendly welcome, and such a great spot to explore the granite belt and national parks. Being a very windy weekend, our camp spot was very protected, with lots of wildlife. Thank you.
