Our part of the Severn River offers many large fishing holes with excellent fishing for Murray Cod, Yellow Belly and Catfish, we request that you only catch and release please. The river is also great for kayaking, swimming and boating and has very large areas of small rapids along river.
Relax around the fire pit in the evenings and enjoy our beautiful sunsets and star gazing, in the mornings you can enjoy the sounds of the beautiful bird song. The area is abundant with wildlife, including native birds, platypus and koalas.
We are also located only 10kms from Pindari Dam which is another great spot for all water based activities. We are 10kms from Pindari Adventure Park which is a great spot to take kids. We are 25kms from Macintyre Falls and the Kwiambal National Parks which has a number of beautiful walks you can enjoy. Ben Falls, Goat Rock, Reedy Creek Winery and Zappers Winery are all close by as well.
Campers must stay within the designated camping area whilst on the property.
We have provided a fire pit for your enjoyment and can arrange firewood to be available upon request. Campers must be fully self sufficient and take all waste with them on departure. Please note that this site is only for our Veterans and First Responders and is heavily discounted due to this, we also for our Veterans and First Responders refund your stay at end of booking as a way of giving back and showing our appreciation for your service to our Country or can choose to donate your booking fee to Cams Cause Special Forses Charity through my daughter Cam's Cause Junior Ambassador Zee. This is not a civilian site please book through our other sites on hipcamp set up for civilians and is not discounted / free.

Absaloute gem of a spot, right on the river with an abundance of wildlife and great fishing to enjoy. Excellent level camp sites with lots of space to explore without seeing another sole. Highly recommend. Great host.
We met Susannah at her house and she took us to our private slice of paradise. Susannah was an excellent host. The camp site was beside the Severn River, with a camp fire/cooking pit complete with swinging cook plate. Highly recommended.

Fernlee river camping is one of the most spectacular campsites on the granite belt, not many places were you can open you tent and cast a line in for the legendary Murray Cod
Absolute brilliant little camp, we were booked in for 4 nights but unfortunately got rained off just after 1 night. But will definitely be back when we are next in the area! Beautiful setting, amazing host.

Susannah’s property is the perfect place to unwind and relax in nature. We can’t stop raving about how beautiful it was here. Susannah knows the area like the back of her hand and showed us to a beautiful spot down by the river. Each camp area is carefully cleared with fire pits ready to go. Our favourite part was being kilometres away from other campers, a credit to Susannah’s site positions! Our dogs could roam around the campsite happily and enjoy a swim whenever they felt like it. We were lucky enough to see fairy wrens, amongst lots of other bird life, and a platypus early one morning!
We can’t wait to go back and enjoy this spot again 😊 thanks Susannah!
