Matt was a fantastic host!! Was really easy to meet him and he drove us into the property & gave us a bit of a tour. The property had incredible views; the campfire area was huge and Matt supplied us with plenty of wood (purchased). It was a bit windy but nothing some extra ropes didn’t fix. Would absolutely recommend staying here; even in winter like we did!!
Beautiful spot atop a mountain
Beautiful property and a really helpful host! Felt like near total isolation and had a fantastic panoramic view of the surrounding cliff faces and ranges. Our dogs had a fantastic time and we saw a lot of kangaroos on the way in. Thanks Matt for being a fantastic host, we’ll definitely be back!
This campsite is amazing. The views were phenomenal and there's lots to explore within the huge property. Matt was friendly and his instructions were great. Interestingly, i got 4 full bars of 4g at the campsite which meant we could play whatever songs we wanted. I dont even get 4 bars of 4g at home! Added to the overall very positive experience
Aurora View is a really special place. We marvelled at views over rolling hills and tall mountains in the distance on our drive in. The campsite was perfect. Soft green grass, a fire pit, and a toilet. We saw a spectacular sunset and were greeted by kangaroos in the morning. We thoroughly recommend!
Highly recommend staying at Aurora View, one of the best camping locations I've been to and well worth the stay even if it is on the expensive side. Picturesque view on the side of a mountain overlooking the Blue Mountains. The site is beautiful with plenty to explore on foot or 4x4. Matt was a great host and very accommodating.
Note access to the the site is via a 3km dirt road. The trip will not pose any problems for any capable 4WD or AWD but a 2WD would not make the trip, especially the return journey which is mostly uphill.
