Description

For that full mountain experience, choose Jacks Creek Campground. Tree lovers will rejoice among the aspens and mixed conifers, and everyone can access Jack’s Creek Trailhead from the equestrian center to see even more trees and explore the Santa Fe National Forest even further. This is a first-come first-served campground, and a quite popular one at that due to the forest-awesomeness. Go snag a spot before they’re all taken, and revel in the forest fun!

There is NO lake at Jack's Creek campground. The lake, Pecos Baldy Lake, is only reached by hiking 7+ miles up the trail (almost 3000' elevation gain).
It is a great campground, we love it, but those photos of a lake are deceptive.
