We welcome you to our gorgeous "Glamping" tipi located next to a beautiful mountain stream on our ranch in the mountains of Northern New Mexico. experience the surrounding Carson National Forest and all the recreational opportunities that it provides.

Our 16 ft Tipi can sleep 2 with a queen bed + 2 with sleeping pads, and sits on an elevated wood deck. The interior is beautifully furnished with a queen sized bed, bedside tables, a device charger, and a camp stove for making coffee and tea.

We’re located 45 minutes away from Taos, and just 30 minutes away from the Ojo Caliente Hot Springs Resort. There’s hiking, rock climbing, fishing, and other outdoor activities galore all around us. We also have some of the darkest skies in the US, We are a perfect location for stargazing or astrophotography. We like to say we are in the middle of nowhere and the center of everything.

We provide everything you need for a comfortable stay. The 16’ Tipi is well-equipped with a Queen-size bed for two, with available sleeping pads for two more (we'll let you draw straws to decide who sleeps where ;-)). You are also welcome to bring an additional tent for your group, or we can provide a dome tent , for an additional $20 per night fee.  In the Tipi, we offer a single-burner camping stove, a kettle for heating water, a french press coffee maker and a selection of coffee and teas. We also have a cooler, and a drinking water dispenser.

Outdoors, we offer a grill for outdoor cooking, a fire pit and camping chairs, a picnic table with lighted umbrella, and a ramada with a hammock for sleeping or lounging. Your hosts also own the Chili Line Depot restaurant, 7 miles from the campsite in Tres Piedras, and you can visit the restaurant, or call in an order for pick-up. We provide a menu in the Tipi.

Right outside the Tipi you'll find a bath house with a composting toilet, a shower with hot water, and an outdoor sink for cleaning up. NOTE: During the cooler months and any other time it is below 40° F we DO NOT offer any running water. We provide bath towels and soap for you.

Well-behaved dogs are welcome during your stay. We ask that dogs do NOT get on the bed, to be respectful of other people's allergies. Please keep your pet under control, and please cleanup after your pet and put the waste in the provided trash can.

The ranch is fully off-grid. We have a solar powered charging station for you to plug in your electronic devices, but please note that the system can't handle devices that need a lot of power like blow dryers. Cell service and WiFi are sketchy at the campsite.

The Tipi will let in a little rain especially if the smoke flaps are open during a rain storm. Please ask us on how to close the smoke flaps or to help you tarp the Tipi during a heavy storm..

The Tipi is located on a 70 acre working ranch. Follow the signs and pull through the gate to the guest parking area near the campsite. We ask that you keep gates closed, and give the horses and livestock space. You'll have access to the full grounds, and you may fish in the stream for rainbow trout (NM fishing license required.)

We’ve done our best to keep the campsite private and separate, so that you can feel secluded. But please know you may see your hosts Deb and Gil, as well as curious livestock, and Sally the ranch dog every so often.

Thank for choosing us and we are dedicated to providing you with an exceptional outdoor camping experience.

Creekside Glamping Tipi is beautifully situated within Carson Forest and on a level area perfect for spreading out and enjoying nature and the night sky. The tipi was stocked well with the basic necessities and plenty of blankets to keep one warm and cozy. Be warned though, if you visit in late November, like us, be prepared accordingly as temperatures were in the teens. The bathroom facilities are close by and were very clean and easy to operate. Deborah had a lantern lit for us and the fire-pit loaded and ready for lighting. The sound of the babbling creek nearby complimented the brilliant night sky above. Deborah and Gil are the perfect hosts and I highly recommend a stay in their tipi. I only wish we had planned to stay longer. Don’t forget to say hi to Sally, their sweet cow-dog.

This Tipi is in such a cool setting on their ranch close to their ranch house and just a few feet away from the Tusas creek. Plenty of room for others (if needed) to join for tent camping on really smooth level ground adjacent to the TiPi. After a gorgeous night of star watching; I piled into the Tipi to sleep on the queen bed. I woke to the hear their horses playing at dawn - galloping by on the other side of the creek.. Very cool!

Peaceful site with very pleasant surroundings. A surprise of a beautiful babbling creek next to the Tipi. The site had a well kept grassy area with plenty of privacy. Many well thought out additions such as picnic table, shade canopy, charming bridges and ready to use firewood for fire pit. The dream catcher Tipi looked stunning at night amongst the clear and bright starlit skies. Would highly recommend. Hosts welcoming and thoughtful!

Had an amazing stay at the creekside tipi. Our pups loved playing in the creek and had plenty of space to run around. We were welcomed by Deb who provided a very friendly and relaxed atmosphere. Enjoyed the wonderful views, exploring Deb and Gill's farm and seeing the horses, pigs, and chickens, and experiencing the surrounding wildlife. During our stay we heard an elk bugling and at night we had a spectacular view of the stars.

Wow!! I don’t know if there’s enough words for how amazing our entire stay was. From our arrival, Gill was very helpful and friendly. He showed us everything from the bed and extra blankets to how to use the compost toilet and shower. Gill and Deb’s tipi provided so many amenities! The tipi was located on their beautiful land surrounded by horses, cows, chickens and pigs (fencing separated us). I cannot rave enough about this place. Thank you Gill and Deb for your over-the top, genuine hospitality!!!

P. S. Be sure to visit the Chilli Line Depot for the BEST homemade burger you’ve ever had!

This place is a slice of heaven! Sleep under the stars next to a babbling brook. Deborah and Gill are amazing hosts who make every effort to make your stay comfortable and special. Make sure to visit their restaurant down the road and try the green chili apple pie!!! And give Sally the dog some kisses and belly rubs.
