IMPORTANT: the directions listed here are correct. Please do not enter the address into GPS or Goggle it will take you 2 miles down a rough dirt road.
I own 10 acres just outside of Taos and about a mile from the Earthship community and the Rio Grande Gorge Bridge. My land is ideally suited for staying close to Taos and away from people- but only 1/2 mile up a well maintained dirt road- which really matters in Taos and New Mexico in general because dirt roads here can be rugged!
You are close to the hot springs (20 minutes) the earthship community (5 minutes), town (15 minutes) breweries and great hiking and biking trails (5 minutes).
I have a designated tent site and space for 2 vans. There is water from the cistern and a cold water shower that looks out at the mountains that is private and not windy.

Beautiful spot for the high desert lovers among us. Rob and his pup Choya were both very friendly, and the views and full moon watching were really special. Totally recommended.
Awesome location! Perfect distance from Taos to do things in town but also private enough to admire the natural beauty! Robert was very responsive and gave great recommendations for hikes! Would highly recommend!

Absolutely beautiful camping spot. The stars are stunning at night, and we enjoyed the company of the dogs that came to say hello. Robert was very helpful and kind! Would absolutely camp here again.
This spot is amazing and Robert is a wonderful host. Desert camping with incredible vista views. Very quiet and no one around. The sunset and sunrise are a must see. Incredible star gazing and views of the moon.
Rob was super friendly and knowledgeable about the area. He gave us some great suggestions on what to see that we would have otherwise missed!
I normally switch between public land and hipcamp; in this area I felt more secure leaving our little trailer at Roberts place while we went and explored for the day.
So many friendly dogs! Choya and friends came to visit us often!

I had a phenomenal time here. The drive from downtown Taos was short and for the privacy, views, and ease offered, I would stay here again. Rob was such a welcoming man and we had great conversations. If you’re looking for a night on the Mesa, this is it!
