Very strange experience overall. It wasn’t worth paying that much $ for what comes along w the territory. I felt like I was in the twilight zone honestly. If you want time to yourself, peace and quiet, privacy, meadows and flowers, etc, then this place definitely is not for you.
The place has potential. And it would be fine if you had a camper. But not for tent camping.
Camping with animals 💕
Cute place! Easy pull in and park. Offers water & electric. Goats llamas alpacas and chickens are a plus. Can’t forget about the cutest little white pooch that gave me the greatest good morning welcome. 10/10 We will be back 💕
Small family farm with lots of livestock. Several tent sites spread around the property. One RV back in site with water and 30A electric hookup. Dump station at nearby state park during the season.
The first thing you'll notice is that is the kind of farm where nothing gets thrown away and things are left where they were last used. But don't let that deter you from staying here because there is such a variety of animals to see and sometimes interact with. It's remarkable how so many different kinds of animals can be in the same paddock with each other and get along so well. It's like Noah's ark dropped off the animals here. Very entertaining and relaxing to watch the animals and listen to the sounds. There's a little traffic noise from nearby route 70 but most of the time it just sounds like the wind in the trees which surround the property. Very enjoyable stay.
We chose not to stay here after all
When we arrived, it was immediately clear that the reality was nothing like the pictures posted. There was construction material all over the place, an old refrigerator and a large bright orange shipping container on the site, and no fire ring at the space we were offered. The hosts wife tried to be helpful, but the general condition if the property was not what we expected.
We ended up deciding NOT to stay at this camp site. We opted for the absolutely lovely state park down the street.
LOVE THE FARM!!!!
This place is camping without the entire rigmarole of being a remote trail site (without electric and water). The owners ans thwir friends, Harry and Ruth, were the best, good vibes...very inviting and helpful. We had electric from an extension cord
that powered anything we needed and also a clean potty and acess to a shower. There's a bunch a chickens and roosters, cows and goats- def a sweet spot under the radar... we loved our camp there. THE CAMP IS GREAT. I loved it there. This will be my goto camp 30 mins from Philly. Great for kids because of the animals. They also have a sharing table for anything you don't wanna take home / need.......AND bonfires
Thank you Lucy and family for hosting your space. I loved the woodsy feel and friendly animals. The air was fresh and the sound of animals was surprisingly easy to get used to. I would definitely stay here again!
