Our 8-acre property is located in the Mojave Desert surrounded by BLM land and nearby Death Valley National Park. One of the first vineyards in Nevada, we grow 5 varieties of grapes that are bottled in nearby Pahrump, NV. Your campsite is located next to the vines and includes a shared composting toilet in our rustic bathhouse. We also offer an outdoor shower, coffee, and tea that are available to enjoy by donation. You are also welcome to plug in to a standard outlet for charging and use our hose for drinking water and filling tanks. Both Verizon & AT&T work well out here to stay connected.
On the property expect to see & hear our Guinea Fowl foraging for bugs throughout the day and early morning. They do a great job of keeping the insects away! We also have two Dobermans running around the property, digging holes, and keeping an eye on the place. Our vines start to grow in April and are watered daily (often at night). We try to avoid watering when guests are sleeping but occasionally you might hear an irrigation pump...the things we put up with for wine!
Outside our gates, enjoy biking, hiking, scrambling, and exploring the Amargosa Desert and nearby Skeleton Hills.
Nearby attractions include Ash Meadows Wildlife Refuge (30-minutes) and Death Valley National Park (45-minutes). We have spent a lot of time in the park and are happy to answer questions, make suggestions, or even take you on a tour.

It was great spending 2 days in Desert Vineyard. It's a small but clean and secluded place. It did have hot water and electrical outlet which was very convenient. Overall it was a great stay
Unique death valley camping
Brandon was an incredible host—he went above and beyond to make sure that I had everything I needed! The property was clean, uniquely rustic and provided me (& my friends) the perfect setting for a fun gathering. It was way more private staying here vs a public campground and I would definitely recommend a stay here if you are planning a Death Valley visit.
Practical place to stay after exploring Death Valley NP, it's quite close to Death Valley Junction. Site is well maintained and decorated, far west style. The shower was very welcome after hot Death Valley.
Nice place! thank you!
This is a nice and well kept Hip Camp! The sunrise and sunsets are glorious! The facilities are as described being clean and tidy. An available shower is why I chose this Hip Camp. We left our gear and were gone for the day and felt reasonably safe doing it. If you are looking for a safe, clean and tidy place to camp that is not away from everyone and everything, then give this Hip Camp a look see. It is obvious that Brandon cares and works hard to keep it cool in the desert. Thank You Brandon!
This was a lovely place to stay. The campsites were clean and the surroundings were very pretty. I fell asleep under a sky full of stars and was gently woken up the next morning by the funny flock of birds who wander the property. I'll stay here again if I ever need to.
Beautiful, perfect property with the most considerate, gracious host! The sunrise is spectacular, but the night's sky is incredible. We stayed at Site #3. The bathhouse with outdoor hot shower is a delight--clean and refreshing. The Guinea fowl go about taking care of the bugs. We were in and out, only staying two short nights. But we will definitely be back. Thank you, Brandon, for a lovely, welcoming stay!
