This 45-acre property is the original farm homestead of the Kozak family. Since 1996, the land has been stewarded and enhanced by Cheryl Cohan and Noah Erenberg and is now home to Nature On! Matlock Biodiversity Retreat and Horticultural Therapy Centre. There are 3 different listings to choose from: Deluxe Wall Tent in Forest Meadow, Bunkie in Forest Meadow, and Tent Camping in Forest Meadow. We have something for everyone, no matter the type of camper that you are! The surrounding area includes the beautiful and quaint, resort village of Dunnottar bordering along with the property: Matlock main beach on Lake Winnipeg’s southwest shore is just a three-minute walk away as is the hiking trail that meanders northward through Whytewold, Ponemah and up to Winnipeg Beach. Dunnottar Sports Courts for tennis and basketball as well as Julia’s Restaurant are a short one block to the east; Matlock General Store is a ten-minute walk to the north; many more amenities and attractions are available to explore throughout the Interlake, with lots to see and do in nearby Winnipeg Beach, Gimli, Camp Morton, Riverton, Arborg, etc. The property has many trails throughout the forest and meadow that are walkable all year round. There is a porta-potty on the property centrally located near the accommodations. There is a water hose available with cold water only. There are no showers.

Rest and unwind in our gorgeous, converted grain bin, arriving to a charcuterie-for-two and chilled bubbly drinks, all locally sourced. Prepare for a hassle-free spa experience with luxurious 100% Turkish cotton robes and wraps, then relax in the cedar sauna, hand-in-hand on the heated stone slab, side-by-side in the hillbilly hot tubs…or in front of a bonfire in comfy, cushioned Adirondack chairs. Our fire tender will preheat the amenities to your desired temperature at a time of your choosing. Retreat to your own private outdoor shower and high-end mini grain bin outhouse. All amenities are within a few steps of each other. The property isn’t lit at night so stargazing is at its best here. Enjoy a restful night's sleep on the comfortable, grounded queen bed and when you awake, bake berry scones while enjoying a fresh cup of Nespresso coffee, hot chocolate, tea or matcha lattes on the balcony or deck. Cream, milk or nut milks, fresh butter and jams will be provided. Explore the area at your own pace with two complementary beach cruisers. These bikes are built for comfort, featuring 'fat tires', plush seats for a smooth, easy ride. Perfect for a leisurely 15-minute pedal to the local golf course for breakfast or just exploring the prairie scenery! So much room to walk and explore. Located in a very quiet, peaceful, secluded, treed yard that is shared with the homeowners, 15 mins south of the Trans Canada Hwy, near Steinbach, LaBroquerie, Ste. Anne, Manitoba. NOTES: • There is a CN train crossing just over a mile away, and the train does pass a few times a night, if you are sensitive to noise. I have complimentary soft ear plugs in the bin for guests. Not such a big issue when the windows are closed in the grain bin. • There are also 2 hardworking, beautiful, sweet outdoor/indoor girlie cats on the property.

A stone’s throw from the beaches of southeastern Lake Winnipeg, Cityfolk Farm is home to 80 acres of wide open fields, a medicinal herb farm, and forests of poplar, pine, alder, and willow for you to explore. THINGS TO DO... Say hello to the chickens, enjoy a relaxing walk through our forest labyrinth, book a tour of the medicinal herb farm (@awakenherbs), meet our Great Pyrenees, Willow the gentle giant, swim at a beach (with options 10, 18, and 25 minutes away), and relax in a hammock. THE CAMPER... To learn more about the Winnebago camper, see the site listing (this is the property listing). WHERE WE ARE... • 15 min south of Gull Lake • 15 min southeast of the Brokenhead Wetland Interpretive Trail • 20 min southeast of Patricia Beach • 25 min south of Grand Beach, which features sands ranked in the top 10 worldwide • 45 min north of Winnipeg WHO WE ARE... Our family of six moved to the country from Winnipeg (hence the name Cityfolk Farm). We learn and work from home, run a re-skilling festival (@takerootfest), and a medicinal herb farm (@awakenherbs). Fostering a connection with nature and cultivating community is at the heart of all we do. WHOSE LAND... The land now stewarded by our family (Cityfolk Farm) is part of Treaty 1 territory and the ancestral land of Anishinaabeg, Cree, Oji-Cree, Dakota and Dene peoples, and on the homeland of the Metis Nation. We acknowledge that we are on stolen land, and we continue to learn about both the harm that was done and the beautiful history and traditions of tending land & people of the Indigenous nations who suffered and continue to be negatively impacted by colonialism. We are working to be conscious of and active in reconciliation and welcome relationship and collaboration with Indigenous communities. We encourage all who are connected to the farm, festival, farm stays and other events here to dig into this learning as well, and come to the land in thoughtfulness and gratitude. ✰ Website • cityfolkfarm.ca/farm-stays ✰ On-Site Herb Garden • awakenherbs.ca • @awakenherbs ✰ Late Summer Festival • takerootfest.ca • @takerootfest • (RV is only available to fest ticket-holders on fest weekend) ✰ Still have a question?
