Beautiful place, great host but train horns woke me up at night couple times. Not sure of it was bad night or regular thing but it was annoying. During daytime you can hear gun shoots coming from local gun range.
You won't regret this stay!
This was my favorite campsite as I traveled through Montana. I really enjoyed meeting Roger and his son. The campsite was private and I loved having my own personal beach on the river and waking up to the amazing views. I will definitely be back!
Must stay, don’t skip over this one
Amazing property, great host. Couldn’t have asked for a better place. A bald eagle hung out most of our stay and entertained us. Very relaxing and comfortable. Sweet corn was amazing.
Roger is the best host! He is personable, friendly, and great to visit with! His property is exactly what I would describe as relaxing, beautiful, and private. The crystal clear waters of the gallatin river flow through his property, and provides swimming, fishing, and relaxing on the beach. You feel like you are far away from civilization, when in reality you are super close to Three Forks, Belgrade and Bozeman. Perfect place! He has named his hip camp "gallatin river getaway", and it is a perfect description! Thank you Roger - I will definitely be back
Roger is an amazing camp host! He was responsive and communicative. We arrived to our site around midnight but he stayed up late to show us to our site! Our site was open, secluded and right by the river. The only downsides are that the property is near a gun range and railroad tracks. I recommend that you bring good ear plugs. If there’s no smoke from the forest fires, you’ll be able to see the beautiful night sky.
Five star camp ground.
My wife and I stayed here four 4 nights. We loved this place. It’s like staying in a great state park with hardly anyone there. We grilled up some river caught trout and ate some corn grown on Roger’s farm. We highly recommend it.
