Nestled close to the Bitterroot mountains above the Bitterroot valley and across from the Sapphire Mountains. Super quiet except for a year-round stream on the edge of the property. It's a rare spot and so private and on a clear night, the stars are stunning!

"It's down our private road and at the bottom of a hilly meadow with ponderosa pines and next to an aspen grove. When the aspen leaves are out, they flutter in the wind like they are waving to you."
The hill is covered in lush green native grasses from about mid to late April until about mid-August depending upon the year. In the early spring, the grasses are flattened from the snow and still have a beautiful charm. In the late summer and fall, they turn golden.
Our neighbors are a good distance away and you will rarely see or hear other people excepting maybe us walking our dogs, and maybe the rare vehicle a good distance away.
There are two awesome world-class scenic hikes nearby that I don't know why there aren't more people there: Fred Burr Creek Trail and Bear Creek Trail. The Redsun Labyrinth, a relaxing meditative walk, is close too. And this is Montana. So much nature here!
When you look at the sky, you will find yourself saying, "Wow, that's a big sky!" It's not just a slogan, it's a reality, and one of the reasons this is our home, and why we are willing to share with people who appreciate the sky.

Nice little place. Quiet for the most part (neighbor dog across the creek and through the woods) barked most of the night so not sure if that is the usual. Decent views and a creek close by for kidlets or dogs to play in. Easy to get to with Geoff's directions.
We have Chevy Colorado and a 20 ft double axle 4000lb micromini, too much longer and backing it in would get a little tricky, but doable. A little steep getting up out of there on the decomposed granite drive so if you arent confident in your tow set up then be cautious.
Beautiful quiet spot! Geoff was so nice. Came over to introduce himself. Such a nice location in the bitteroot valley!!
Our hosts were welcoming and gracious. Made sure that we were able to find the spot with no issues. The camp spot was mowed and had a wood picnic table with solar lanterns for our use. The meadow was gorgeous and had tons of beneficial insects buzzing around the flowers (butterflies, bees, moths, grass hoppers. It was a lot of fun to watch). Also caught sight of a doe heading into the stand of trees (likely to her fawn). Geoff was really accommodating and understanding when we left a day early due to the intense wildfire smoke in the area. Overall great place to stay!
