Description

Back in 1927, Mill Creek Cabin was built to house Forest Service workers. Nowadays, it’s all about nature and fun. Here’s how a day at the cabin might look: wake up bright and early, ready to seize the day. Fuel up with some breakfast on your front, or back, porch while soaking in the scenery of the Absaroka Mountains and Mill Creek. When you’re ready to get goin’, take a hike into the Absaroka-Beartooth Wilderness, or go fishing in Mill Creek. From mid-September through mid-June you’ll have to plan for your own drinking water, but you’ll have it the rest of the year (fill up those Camelbaks!). At the end of a long day of adventuring, return to the cabin for some more porch chillin’, bonfires, and dark night skies that glitter with stars.

Stayed at this little ranger station cabin for Christmas. Nice cozy little cabin, located near some hiking and and cross country trails. Fits up to 4 people in the bunks, but there's room for cots or sleeping bags on the floor. The cabin is drafty in the winter, so we moved the bunks closer to the wood stove in the night. There's also an oven and sink, as well as a pit toilet in the outhouse. Firewood available, and a fire pit during the summer as well. Highly recommend for a little getaway.
