We're happy to do demonstrations or even allow visitors to help with chores such as milking milking cow and collecting eggs as our schedule allows. Our acreage is farmed but there are trails for light hiking and bird watching. The farm is located roughly two miles south of Brush Lake State Park. Brush Lake is unique as there are no fish in it. It is excellent for swimming and other water sports though. We are about 50 miles from Williston, ND and about 35 miles from Plentywood, MT. In either town you'll find grocery stores, gas stations, banks, movie theaters and restaurants. Our farm isn't Pinterest perfect or Instagram famous but it's a place to connect with a slower pace and a past way of life.
I'm working on getting photos of the property but if there's anything you'd like to see (campsites, surroundings etc) please let me know and I'll get them to you as soon as possible.

Our stay at the Christensen Farms was awesome! On our last evening, my husband and I were discussing how much fun we had and how much we were going to miss both the farm and the Christensen family. The landscape is absolutely peaceful and beautiful. (The property borders the Medicine Lake NWR.) The Christensen family provided a very warm welcome and were great hosts. By the time we left we felt like we were old friends. What more could you ask for? This was the highlight of our 7000 mile multi-state vacation. We are already hoping to make a return visit in the future.
Our family had a great time staying at the Christensen Farm! Mandy and Rus are super friendly people who were willing to help us with anything we needed! They even let my sons (9 and 7) help out with some chores on the farm - they loved it and were even given some eggs to take home! Such a great experience - we will definitely come back!
