Peaceable kingdom in the woods
We drove up into a Garden of Eden with a donkey, a horse, two dogs, and a helpful and charming host. The spot was wooded and serene, the walks with our dogs were great a forest path right near by. I am new to using a trailer and Carmen offered to back mine into the spot. All four of us (two sisters and two dogs) all enjoyed it immensely. Loved meeting her kids and Einstein the donkey.
Friendly, easygoing spot!
Was just what I needed. Easy drive from Missoula before heading over to Nez Perce to camp. Nice spot as described! Friendly family, nice dog who plays fetch, and a horse and donkey who greet you in the morning. Recommended for what it offers!
Clean, quiet and restful
The Forest Hideaway is clean and quiet and truly a hideaway in a forest. Having said that, it is not far off the highway and easy to get to- even in a 22’ RV. We met some friendly dogs there and had a very restful evening after a hard days travel.
This was a cute little spot. It sits on a hillside so if you are staying in a trailer that you can level up it would be fine. We had planned to stay in our tent and could not find a suitably flat space for the tent and forfeited our reservation to go to a nearby campground.
Peace in the woods. ❤️
It was lovely. Nice and quiet. My dogs got to run a bit after being in the car all day. The horse and donkey came to visit and were very well behaved. All in all I would highly recommend forest hideaway to everyone. We really enjoyed our short time there.
My wife and I camped here and absolutely loved it! The site was very spacious yet secluded. Carmen was incredibly kind and gave us some firewood to use for the night. She had a donkey and a horse on her land and they were an absolute delight when they came around. By far our favorite thing about this campsite was the view of the stars at night!! We've never seen so many. We tried a few local spots she recommended the next morning before we left, and we were not disappointed. We both highly recommend this lovely spot with such hospitality.
