Fairly quiet, but we never met our host. Her post on Hipcamp Said water available, but we didn’t know where to hook up, so had to do without. The parking area is about 30 feet from the livestock pen, which would have been fine, if there had not been large piles of manure shoved in the corners of the pen. Because of this, the flies were very thick. We were however, greeted by a very friendly kitty, who made us feel quite welcome.

Basically, we parked on Janet's front lawn which was disappointing, but she was so helpful filling our water jugs, running hose to rig, offering to lay an extension cord...all in the pouring rain. Next day grandkids were delighted to count 70 plus domestic y exotic critters....unfortunagtely Janet was at work so we couldn't get close though. The animals are the draw here...so if you have kids or grandkids. Check it out (if its not raining y Janet's home)

This place was a huge hit for our toddler! We chose this location due to its proximity and the entertainment factor for our child. When we arrived at night Janet greeted us and introduced us to a few of her (many) animals. We basically had a babysitter between the very patient cat, friendly donkey, and a lot of open space. We felt comfortable and safe staying at Janet's place and would stay there again.

We had a great stay at Big Sky Critter Farm. Janet is a wonderful host and was very helpful with providing water to fill-up a fresh water tank and also connecting a 120 electric line. Her place is located within 3 miles of the Benton Lake Wildlife Refuge, which is a Globally Important Bird Area. We saw a number of new birds. It is also a very short drive to the Lewis & Clark Interpretive Center, which we very much enjoyed.
