Description

Bring your four-person wolfpack out to Black Butte Cabin for some good old-fashioned fun outside. Well, we guess you could stay inside the cabin the whole time, but who would want to do that when the nature surrounding you is so pristine and pretty? Black Butte, an old volcanic cone, stands watch over the cabin’s meadow, meaning you’ll have some excellent views from your camping spot. Anyone can enjoy this place, but it’s most popular with hunters and snowmobilers (the terrain is fantastic during the winter—just be safe and always check the weather.) That said, hikers won’t be bored here by any means. Just walk out back and pick up the trail to the top of Black Butte. You’re bound to work up a thirst with all of this adventuring, so remember to plan ahead for your water needs, too. Oh, and leave that cell phone behind…you’ll be off the grid out here!
